Both my dog and cat are real funny! As they both think they can talk.. the cat all the time. Nagging mostly! :) And the dog whenever anybody comes home, goes on and on about it til ya think you'll go crazy! But I've realized it's my fault! As I always talk to them.. - Do your pets talk to you?

Yes I believe that our pets all talk to us. Some time we just have to pay attention to what they are trying to say. We have a kitty that if we have been gone for a while willget right in the door way and sayt there until we pet her. She accidently got shut in a bedroom a while back and I thought I would never hear the end of it. She meowed at me every time I looked at her. When she wants something and we don't see it she will come and butt her head on my legs until I get up and get her what she wants. she's not much of a meower.

I always thought that all pets could talk, and it seems that they actually do try to communicate with us through vocalizations and body language- jus like we do with each other... Notice how Humans react when they see a baby? Years of mastering fromal language go right down the drain, and we start goo-ing and coo-ing and babbling... Notice that it's also the very same language that we first speak to our pets, especially when they are young... I loved to sing to my dog and cat, and they would try to sing back to me, sometime they even sounded better that I did! LOL! :) Here's a pet site that you might enjoy: http://www.petheartprints.com/ Have fun, and say hello to you dog and cat for me! :)

Oh ! YES. My pet female pomeranian(all white) lends a patient hearing to whatever I say to her in my solitude. Though she is unable to retort to my feelings , she growls and barks in a quite friendly manner in response to my talk. Pets really grasp your feelings and respond fully in their own expressive mode of behaviour.

Hi flowerchilde, a discussion about our pets is always good. I have two cats who love to talk to me. One of them also likes to talk to visitors, especially friends who come often. One of them always makes a practice of thanking me after she has been fed. I have talked to my pets for years, and they love the attention, just as I do. Blessings.

He has his own personality and he thinks he is human. He has his own things and he knows they belong to him and he puts them away when we tell him too. He listens better than most kids do!!!

Ha ha ha that is so sweet of your pets..!! I had many rabbits with me!! And YES they did talk to me!! Whenever I felt low or happy I found them with me!! SOmetimes when I feel sad about life I pick my favourite rabbit and wow they start talking to me (thats what I feel). There eyes do it!! One day they almost made me laugh out at my craziest. They sometimes tend to do a lot of stupid things .they start running anywhere because of nothing, sometimes while running they endup crahsing other rabbits which is very very hilarious, and I even saw those little creatures yawn too..!! Ohh thats all heart touching making me feel like a mother ..lol!! I just loved my pets but they are not with me my parents gave to other relaitves of mine because abbits are very unmanageable!! That day I cried a lot. That was 3-4 years ago..!! NOw am allright!! I still love them. MOst beautifull creatures on earth!! :)

I know it is silly and many of my friends think I am nuts, but my dogs talk to me all the time. The rough Collie understands long sentences and the Jack Russell is very good with names. When I say good morning to them the Jack Russell will yawn and make a sound (talk) that sounds like hello! So there now everyone that reads this will agree with my friends that I'm nuts!

I always thought I was nutz too! But I'm finding it's more common than I knew! I think people's friendships with animals are great! It's quite an awesome thing when we think about it.. :)

My cats talk too. I think it is because they are my kids and we talk to them and always have. I don't know if they are even aware that they are cats. So annoying and sweet at the same time aren't they.

Wow. I am reminded of my pet parrot who used to repeat the words I said. That was when I was in 5th std. That parrot was very cute and used to hear and sing songs. I felt bad that such a lovely bird was kept caged. I opened the cage and let that parrot fly away. I was so happy seeing the parrot flying with freedom. I said good bye to the lovely bird. I thought that's the best I could give to someone you love, set them free.

yeah, my dog talks to me, i know when she's thirsty, hungry or wants something, she won't stop barking until she gets what she wants, my mom spoiled her too much, and now she thinks she's the queen of the house she even beat me to that crown.

I believe pets do talk to us. I think we should also talk to our pets. Our pets like us talking to them. I have two parrots and I talk to them. They also talk to me back. Before I had dogs and she also used to look at me and show me feelings that she is understanding when I talk to her. I think if we talk to our pets they will love us more.
