How dirty is your mind? How much does it affect your life?

First off, this discussion was inspired by a conversation with a friend, who shall remain nameless for protection. Anyhow, thanks! ;) I have a very dirty mind. It's not so much that I think about naughty things all the time on my own, but that my mind can take just about anything anyone says and turn it into something dirty. I'm constantly giggling and turning colors because of something that no one else got, or only a particular friend of mine got. In fact, my group of friends used to have a guy who was considered the "group pervert" and when he moved out of the area, he said I was his successor. =P It makes me embarrassed sometimes, especially when I'm around people who will know why I'm giggling so much. I get a lot of "What is it now?" and "You need a cold shower, girly". =P So, how dirty is your mind? How much does it affect your life?

By itself my mind is fine. Er well looking at the responses in the thread, seems like I'm nowhere near what the set bar is. Usually though, if there is enough talk being done or if its something that is completely out of bounds then my mind starts going. Usually I tell someone with a straight face "Behave!" like a strict parent command to note that someone did go to far (but secretly I'm greatly amused). But by itself, not much dirty happens. Probably cause I'm doing so much other stuff or work.

Haha, I had wondered exactly where the bar was myself. I'm considering a master at innuendo and twisting words among my own group of friends, but I wonder if perhaps there aren't others who are even better at it than I am. Haha, if you told me to "Behave" I think I would accept it as a challenge to be naughtier. =P

Haha, yup, looks like I'm not the only one who thinks that way! =P Then again, maybe that's secretly why you do it??

You wouldn't be alone with that. Whenever I say it, especially to male acquaintances or to certain family members, they actually take it as a dare to keep going. (Usually to make me blush, laugh or yell Behave at them again)

LMAO Great topic! Yeah I think my mind runs along with the perverted side of human nature. I sometimes blurt out in appropriate things, but mind you when I do it is in company that I know enjoys it. Its not that I have Turrets syndrome or anything like that LMAO. I just normally say the first thing that comes to mind. Not to mention having raised three boys there has always been a bit of locker room talk around the house. I tend to have more male best friends over female friends, so most of the time I am just one of the "guys". I have fun and I like that stupid nonsensical banter.

*giggles* My husband just plays along unless we are in a place in which it's not appropriate, then he shushes me. Poor guy, the very first time I met many of his friends was at a roleplaying game, and somehow one of them and I got off on a very disturbing side track... so disturbing that my husband was ready to slide into the floor and disappear. He was like "yeah... umm... that's my new girlfriend". =P

The mind could be dirty due to the sort of things exposed to it like what is watched, listened to etc. Your mind will definitley affect your life because whatever you think would manifest in your life later on and result in a change in behaviour and perception.

*nods* Yeah, most of my friends were guys when I was younger too. And my mind was considered dirtier than most of them. What was even scarier is that I've rarely been part of a group I wasn't the "youngest member" of, so I'm so used to people expecting me to be innocent and being horrified. =P

Most of my friends when I was really young were much older, so it was funny for me that where I live now my friends are only 3-4 years older than me but see that as an eternity. It's funny because my husband is really the oldest of that group, and I'm the youngest. But when I first moved in with him, I was only 19, and for some reason his friends weren't expecting the person I turned out to be. In fact, quite a few of them were really worried about him for a while, that I was going to completely screw him over or something because I was so flirty and such, but he always trusted me. =)

Well, compared to my other female close friends, I can say that I'm the dirtiest ha ha ha ha...Sometimes I joke to them about dirty stuff, but of course I only do that to people I know well. I won't dare do such a thing to strangers or to someone who seems to not like that kind of joke. The thing is, my family love joking about such stuff, so I guess it's already ingrained in my head that it's fine to do such a thing if you know that the other party can share the laugh. I have to admit that sometimes I do that just to make some of my close friends blush or yell at me to shut up. LOL!!! I LOVE teasing them that way since none of them dare to voice something like that! ;-D Yeah, I'm bad...:-D

*giggles* Oh that's the most fun, to say inappropriate things in front of people who are innocent or too shy to say such things even if they think them! I've had a few friends that it was very fun to make blush! =) So I can definitely relate! ;)

My mind is somewhat dirty. Sometimes people say certain things and I start laughing in my head and turning it into something else than was intended, I try to keep my dirty mind a secret though.

Hehe, it's good that you're able to keep yours more of a secret. I must admit I'm bad at that! I either say something out loud, or if I can keep from doing that, collapse into giggles. So either way I give myself away that I was thinking something unintended.

Hi Lecanis, That's funny and quite sweet actually. I feel, ppl who could actually do that have the ability to make things lighter and when it comes to themselves theyare more eased out than others. Personally, i am a very boring kind who would dare say or do wild , untoward things about others even when there are supportive reasons for it. Bt, i really like your attitude and i am sure you donot do it at the cost of others. Love and hugs..

Naughty naughty! Good for you not being embarrassed by it! For me I guess it depends who I'm with, but in groups of people I definitely get embarrassed by it, or among people who don't know me well. Especially when I do say something rather than just giggling. =P

I never would have guessed this from you...lol. My mind is becoming cleaner all the time. The "dirt" does no good and only conceals the good stuff. But I understand your state of thought and it is somewhat normal unless you decide to change your thinking. It does not change how I see you, as a sweeet innocent person...lol. Group pervert? Hmmm...it doesn't fit you...lol.

I have frequently been accused of having a mind like a sewer hun. Fortunately most of my friends also have dirty minds so I am in good company most of the time.

Sometimes what you really do in life reflect your mind also. I mean, If you do something bad most of the time, you don't trust anybody. This is in general.

I am a pig! I think dirty thoughts and say them too. My boyfriend heard me talking on the phone with my sister and he was shocked and said we were nastier then men. HEHE I guess it is bad cause even my kids know I have a dirty mind. Today in Jessica's spelling words the last two were moisture and pressure. Jess saw my face and went uhhhh mom your gross! Oh as we are humans.... lol we all have a degree of sense to be a bit dirty sometimes and have fun being so. There's nothing wrong with being open minded and making a few jokes here and there about our private lives as long as it's not detailed for I don't want to know what goes on behind "those" closed doors! LOL

Well, no! Joking is one thing, giving TMI (too much information) is quite another. Though I have been known to do that once in a while when I have just the right prey... *giggles*

Pretty and Dirty are reside in our mind together. My mind is full of pretty things and full of dirty things. If you have no dirty things in mind you will not emagine pretty things. So my mind is dirty affect my life as some time my friends dislike me, but after some days they again revert to me as everyone some time love dirty and when their mind deserve dirty thins they revert to me. Dirty things does not affect my life in other way.

First off if your friends know what you are giggling about then their minds are as dirty as yours. They are just not honest enough to admit it. It is a fact the the human brain thinks of something dirty every six seconds. Don't quote me because I don't know who did the studies but honestly who doesn't have those thoughts? With all the double meaning out there only small children don't catch the meanings of some statements. I think a lot of things I don't say I just wait for someone else to. Then I get to say something like I thought it you said it.

Totally I can't Imagine that there are human being in this world that does not have a dirty mind. Everything in this wolrd is not perfect or rather say that all of us has a dirty mind but it depends on you on how how you can manange yourself to not do anything that are you think that is wrong. Even me I can say that I had a dirty mind sometimes the way I think and the way I speak.
