I was wondering who's the composer and the songwriter of Rihannas "umbrella" I suppose that Rihanna didn't write the Lyrics and the Music to this Song so who is it ?? Does anyone know ??

I'm not sure if it should be considered a brain...perhaps a lack of one?? But the writer is 'Tricky' Stewart... It was originally written for Britney Spears... I would personally like to thank her management for passing that one up...maybe Britney isn't the smartest cookie in the jar...but at least her management knows a load of meaningless lyrics when it hears one...On a positive note though...the production of the song's not bad...the lyrics are the problem...

Really ?!? I think it's a nice Song we need catchy songs once in a while not always with meanings, that's my opinion anyway and thanks for sharing yours :))

I don't know who wrote the song, but I do know it she wasn't the first one to be approach with that song. The writers of the song first propose the song to Britney Spear who refuse it. So it's Rihanna who sing it and she did a wonderfull hit with it :)

According to nb-talks.com the song was written by: C. Stewart , T. Nash , S. Carter and R. Fenty. i have no first hand knowlege as to if this is true but the here is the link I got this info from. http://www.nb-talks.com/category/lyrics/

I am not absolutely positive about this, but from what I hear...the mastermind behind these lyrics was Jay Z. The rumor that I gathered was that her and JayZ were having a little fling, and their excuse to spending so much time together was because they were working on Umbrella. However, you know how celebrity gossip is. I do know that Beyonce was jealous of Rihanna and JayZ spending so much time together though.

I THINK RHIANNA IS A HOTTIE! No matter what she sings, who produces it, who wrote the lyrics, she makes everything she does look original and one of a kind. She is extremely talented, not many others can duplicate her.
