I went to Atlanta and got a haircut and was shocked when the guy told me $20.00. Are haircut prices on the rise in your area or did I get scammed?

I think they are on the rise. I went to get my haircut the other day at a place that I have gone to before, and my total was $16. About a couple months ago when I went it only came to $14 for the same thing. It's crazy how much they charge for a haircut these days! I don't know why the prices are rising, but then again I guess it's that way with almost everything these days.

I think I'm just gonna start doing everything myself, like cutting my own hair and changing my own oil.

I'm actually surprised its taken this long for you all to start paying that there. In canada we havebeen paying anywhere from $15-$30 depending where you go. I refuse to pay $30 CAD for a freakin haircut.

I don't think you got scammed. An average hair salon charges 20 dollars for a haircut. That's what makes me want to go to a small chain. They only charge 10 dollars, but you don't get the best possible cut.
