would you like to have 2 seasons instead of 4 seasons? our country only has 2--the wet and dry season---or the rainy and summer months. but even now, the dry spells and typhoons have been interchanged because of atmospheric conditions. but which would you rather have, the 2 seasons of asia? or the 4 seasons.

I would like to have the 4 seasons... i dream of ice skating, snow angels, hot cocoa with cinnamon stick for stirring, apple ciders, fireplaces, yule log, real christmas tree and caramel apples. during, spring, new life begins and everywhere are beautiful flowers, butterflies and the sweet song of rejuvination. The sight of cherry blossoms will be an astounding miracle. Summer will be a little overrated for me, since i despise the heat....but if i have to go tru summer to have the autumn season. then i will tolerate it.... autumn brings about a plethora of gold and orange colors...so brilliant that it makes me gasp in wonder, even watching it on TV...the swirling hues around... but all of these are a dream...yet...

wow! what a lovely description. that is very poetic of you shiloh. and with that, you get the best response mark. primarily because you encouraged me to imagine a place--a garden where i want to be. free of problems and living a carefee life. :-)

Not all Asian countries have only two seasons, by the way. It depends on the distance from the equator. But I live in South-East Asia, so, only two seasons here. =] I prefer our two seasons. I have very low cold resistance, so I'd freeze if I lived in a country with winter. I hate the drought season, though. The bloody heat is enough to make me feel like I'm melting.

We have four seasons in Canada...and my vote is cast for the distinct seasonal changes. It keeps life interesting, the Spring reminds us that new life cycles are beginning again. In Manitoba we have 16 hours of daylight and long, hot, warm days to enjoy. The Fall is a spectacular time of year where everything is rich with autumn shades of red, orange and yellow as the leaves change..and when the snow comes and blankets the earth in a white blanket...we settle in with hot chocolate in front of open fires...and it sets a wonderful tone for the Christmas season. I cannot imagine having a green Christmas...but then that is what we are used to here. So for me 4 Seasons....YES!!!

I like the four seasons but would very much like winter to be much shorter and spring and fall longer. I don't like extreme temperatures and, here in NY, we go from 100 degree days to negative 20 degree ones in a matter of months sometimes. I would love a lengthy spring, a nice summer that isn't deathly hot, a lengthy chilly fall, and a two month winter. But yeah, four seasons are nice. I can't imagine any other way.

I prefer 4 seasons because i want to experience all seasons. With 2 seasons only people became lazy ( accordig to an article i read) because they dont prefer much for the next seasons. Production wise, people of 2 seasons doesnt bother (agriculture) since they only have dry and wet seasons they can plant crops anytime they want. Unlike with 4 seasons people maximize the season where they could plant crops so that they can be prepared for the next season wherein they can no longer plats those crops.

oh yeah, i never thought of it that way. and i have been wondering why people in our country are predominantly lazy. our national character is Juan Tamad or Juan the Lazy. he much like uncle sam of the united states. gee

i think 2 season is fine. honestly speaking i dont want winter cause i have a small tolerance when it comes to coldness. plus if u need to have sweaters and jackets to keep u warm during winter. and the condition of our economy? no thanks! i think our country was designed to have 2 season only..u can enjoy going to beach all year round!

i used to like going to the beach but now i don't. it is way to hot and the sun's rays cause allergic reactions to break out on my skin. and my skin gets so sticky after only a few hours...i used to sun bathe a lot. but not anymore, i'd rather stay indoors. how do you protect yourself from the sun?

sunblock dear! the higher the SPF the better. but if u can avoid going out on the broad daylight thats great too.[though isnt quite possible]. The phil's climate is still tolerable. but when u came here in the middle east ur going to worship ur AC. the hottest day we had was 50 degree celsius..imagine how hot it was! U had a little tast of what hell feels like. LOL!

I think I prefer to have 4 seasons: 2 mild ones (autumn/fall and spring) and 2 extreme ones (summer and winter). That way it's less time you have to support a very hot or a very cold weather. As a matter of fact, here in Uruguay neither hot nor cold are extreme.

In the winter time, I tend to spend more time indoors and I like to be outside. Also my skin and hair become very dry in the winter. I grew up in NJ and I did not like being cold. I have lived in Florida for 12 years and the winters here are still too cold for me.

Hello there. My country only has one season - Summer - throughout the year. We do have rainy season but it does not come with typhoons. Even though it can get very hot in my country, we deal with it by having air conditioners in public areas like shopping malls and bus interchanges. Many households also have air conditioners. I have never seen snow before and would love to experience winter.

Hello there. I am from Singapore. There's pros and cons to living in a country with only one season. In Singapore, you only have to buy summer clothings. The electricity bill is still affordable. My family members do not use the air conditioner 24-7. We only use it when it's really hot. =D

I'm also living in Asia and there are only 2 seasons here. I'll prefer 4 seasons because there's something to look forward to do during different seasons. Also it's too hot here for me I feel like I'm burning up whenever I'm walking to school.
