do you take your dog to vet for vacination of anti rabies? here in philippine lot of dogs dont have vaccine. so the government have made a decision to capture all dog that are not in a case or chain, many are beaten by this stray dog, so they did is they capture then to the owner who own the dog eill have fine for certain amount, they have only 2 days to get there dog or else they will be sentence to dead. do you know the sign of dog with rabies? i got dog who was beaten by another dog with rabies, after a few month i saw my dog barking his shadow, running wild, hate water, eyes with cataract, saliva over his mouth. then i tie him and kill him, i'm afraid he might bite my kids so i decided to do this. i love my dog. it is unhuman to kill a dog but it is better than the dog kill your kids.

you did it right when you killed your rabies infected dog. i am a filipino too and we used to reside to davao city before having moved over to quezon city recently. the dogs we take care of, we make sure that they all get the vaccinations which the vet customarily prescribe for all dogs. puppies are supposed to receive the anti rabies vaccine once they are 6 months old. personally, i believe that people who cannot have their dogs properly taken care of, have no right to have dogs under their care. it is risking the health and lives of people who maybe in contact with the untreated dog. no one can ever tell as when will the dog become wild and difficult to contain. these animals have tantrums of their own and can bite anyone when these tantrums strike without any warning at times.

We are rabies free. We have strict laws when it comes to animal regulations being imported from other countries. In a way I am glad of these strict rules since it ensures that are no health hazards to dogs or humans alike.

That's so sad that they don't get the vaccine. We have a bunch of little kittens in the neighborhood that are strays and I want to get them all together and take them to get shots and keep them myself, but I don't have the time to care for someone else right now.

Where I live, the health department has free rabies clinics. Everyone can bring in their cats and dogs to the clinics. So there is no excuse, but the wild cats and wild dogs have no one to bring them in. I hope you did not have contact with the rabid dog. You should talk to a Dr. You may need shots to keep from getting rabies yourself. Take care

As rabies is a dangerous VIRAL disease of dogs and other mammals, transmissible through the saliva to humans and causing madness and convulsions; I THINK you have done the right action, JCYAP. It is no longer inhumanity in your case. Right action at the right time and place. Taciturn for me in here, because I never get into this type of case so far. :::michael:::
