cebu is our neighboring island and from here it'll only take a couple of few hours to reach there. it isn't that far but the development there is far fast-paced compared here in our city. i like cebu. but only to go there for a vacation. i do not like living there, though, because of the traffic and the air pollution. not only that the standard of living there is also very high like manila compared to where i am residing right now. still there is nothing wrong to visit there once in a while.

Hi there wild_flow_r. First of all, I have lived in Cebu for 14 years until my family transferred to Cagayan de Oro about 3 years ago. I am 17 y.o now and in my 2nd year in college. I have many things to tell and compare in living in Cebu and living else where. Comparing Cebu from Cagayan de Oro, Cebu boasts its high-end buildings, condo's, malls, the night life their definitely great. Lots of nice bars and music venues. A totally different setting. Also with the education system. There are many excellent schools and universities in Cebu compared here in Cagayan de Oro. The setbacks in Cebu is the pollution, too much heat and too much people. That is why during semestral breaks and summer vacations when I visit Cebu again.. I don't miss the way I lived there before. The place is too hot, so much traffic, overcrowded especially in SM!~ But if you want living that way.. I mean, if you love hanging out in the mall, bar hopping and not to forget the nice beaches, definitely Cebu is the place to be.. But if you want some place peaceful, with nice views of the mountains.. Not so crowded, that you can still breathe fresh air here even in the city.. Then definitely somewhere in Mindanao is the place to consider.. Like here in Cagayan de Oro. This place is not well recognized through out the Philippines but I can definitely say that this city is improving a lot and will be one place to consider if you want to start business. ",) After all I said, home is still where my heart is.. And that is in Cebu. :_)
