It is surprising the politicians who are running the governments all over the world are concenred about their own country and not bothered about this international phenomenon which is causing anxiety to all environmentalists. Global warming is increasing everyday and scientists have done their work of announcing the details of the problem, solutions to face the situation etc. As individuals, we can only create more awareness about this serious problem. I have introduced a topic on global warming a year ago and it was well received by mylotians.

We can stop this process provided each and every citizens living in this globe co-operate. Especially the forest fires in Jakarta, factories exhausting chemical gases, nuclear missile testing and many more. However, the downside of this stopping will be a great impact to everybody. For example, if citizens in Jakarta do not burn the forest, they will not be able to grow crops and earn a living then there will be no exports to other countries. Because by blazing the forest with fire, it makes the soil more fertile so that their crops will grow faster and healthier. Second point, if factories exists without manufacturing plastics, materials for you and me and everybody to use, I can't imagine what kind of world is without plastic. Because plastics give off their chemical gases when manufacturing plastic chairs, furnitures, etc.In addition, you need people to supervise the making process. Third point, nuclear missile testing should be stopped as it destroy the lives of people and crops when one missile explodes on the ground. Lots of activity created by humans are threats to the environment, if humans do not create these, the lives and survival of people will be affected.

global warming cannot be stopped as there are some factors that cannot be controlled by us.. and one of them is the SUN. we can reduce the emission of ozone depleting gases and grenhouse gases to a certain extent but not completely. and as for the sun, it is getting hotter and hotter as time passes, so therefore caussing the temperature of the earth more than before, and we cannot do anything about it at all..

I think the damage has been done...and we cannot stop it anymore. However, I think there are still ways in order to slow it down and somehow delay its adverse effects. We can start in little ways at home by not using sprays with aerosol/CFC chemicals, recycling plastics, throwing garbage in proper places, use bicycle if the destination is near in order to avoid using gasoline that emits carbon dioxide. We can plant trees. At least tree for every person in a household will make your surrounding and the air you breath cleaner. I guess, all of us have to fight this ultimate war for our children's children and for the planet as well.

I think global warming is more sun related than Human related. * There are all the natural phenomena such as the land plus sea volcanoes. Add water vapor in the air to the volcanoes. Water vapor is a greenhouse gas! * All our Human activity, while it seems significant, is but a drop in the bucket when you consider all the other stuff going on. * We can't impact global warming, but we can end our dependence on just one fuel supply.

Anyone here got an explanation for the concurrent global warming of Mars? Do a little more research and see just how little effect humankind has on Earth's climate. After all, we're just 10,000 years out of the last ice age. The cycle typically last 100,000 years.
