do you read the comments

Do you read the comments to posts before you comment on the post? I have seen several posts that some have posted and usually the first person to respond to the post asks a question gives details that the post initiator over looked, so the initiator responds with more information. then along comes some one who obviously hasnt read the comments because they make the same statement the first person did. makes me understand why people over look their post after a comment or two

I do because then I can properly answer the post..I think it makes more sense that way..

I forgot to mention that it depends on the post. Now for instance, I did not read the responds to this one because this is a personal response from me and it doesn't matter what others say..

Sometimes I browse to see what others have to say but not all the time.Sometimes after I respond i will definitely go back to see what others have to say and maybe comment to the responders myself.Especially if the topic is really interesting.
