Do you yell at the person in front of you driving? I don't... My mom does.. Today on the way home a guy was driving the speed limit and I guess it wasn't fast enough for her and she was yelling as if he was right there to listen to her.. I told her she was going to fast in the first place and she should slow down some so in case he hit the brakes we wouldn't crash in the back of him. She replied when I find a passing lane I am going to pass him, he's to slow.. One of these times I think an officer is going to get her for speeding... So my question is... Do you yell at the person in front of you driving to slow, fast or the speed limit?

Not really..There isn't too much I could do anyway..It does get frustrating but if I do yell then I could get in an accident..Riding someones bumper is a very bad thing..If they were to stop you would be the one in trouble...Your mom doesn't sound very patient.

Well it's not like you are talking directly to them it's more like you are talking to yourself by saying move it, or go faster... See what I mean? And your not talking your hands off the wheel either so there really isn't a huge risk.. Your simply venting out loud in your own car or truck... Thanks for your reply!

The only time I do that is if I'm behind someone going well below the speed limit where there's no passing. On a portion of US 11 near my home the speed limit is 30 mph as you head out of town then it goes up to 45 and then finally it goes to 55 but most people never see the sign where it goes up to 55 mph and many never even see that it's gone up to 45. That means I frequently get behind a slow-poke going 30 mph in a 55 mph zone with no passing zone for 10 miles. Sometimes I give the person ahead of me hand signals by holding my hand up twice as in 5 - 5...but they don't ever pay attention! So I mostly just talk to myself. My husband, on the other hand, does LOTS of talking, yelling, cursing, and tail-gating which I hate! So when I ride with him, he yells at the other drivers and I yell at him to slow down and stop complaining so much! Annie

That would for sure annoy me going under the speed limit acutally you can get a ticket for that.. It's almost like you need to do the speed limit but yet not under or above.. Somethings just don't make sense.

I hold my hands up :) Yes i do shout, swear, yell curse and verbally abuse other drivers if for some reasson they get on my nerves, hahaha. Sometimes i am concious that they cannot hear me and get a little embarassed on my own behalf, lol. But it does releace the tention so its probably a habbit i will have for life.

LOL I can see your mom doing it too!! My hubby drives Semi and he has road rage BAD!! Not to the point of being dangerous but I have to laugh at him. I do it sometimes if someone pulls right in front of me or something like that but I we try not to do it when we have the kids with us!

LOL You know her to well than... My dad was never like that, He'd just pass the car or truck and go faster, never really anything over the speed limit though.. Here's something for you he's never once got a ticket either for speeding or anything.. He always had his driving under control.. It does make me wonder though who she takes after with all her driver rage...

There are two aspects here. One is yelling, and the other is intervening in someone elses driving. Firstly, I very rarely yell. I find it to be an irrational and unhelpful emotion. Secondly, unless a driver is dangerous, I tend not to interfere at all.

I yell if they are going slow on the highway. They should at least maintain the speed posted. I get really annoyed when they are in the fast lane going slow when they should be in the slow lane. I usually give them a nasty look. I try to get road rage because it is so not worth it.

Yup. Guilty. I can't help it though :( I get so frustrated when I am in a hurry and the driver in front of me is driving really slow. Or if someone cuts me off and drives slowly. Ahh!!! lol.

Thought this was hilarious as it describes me sometimes, but for other reasons. Yes, I yell at other drivers and sometimes someone that is really breaking the law or driving dangerously will get the nasty old bird from me. That is about the only time that I get really frustrated though. I always wonder where in the world some of these people learned how to drive and who in the world ever gave them their liscense in the first place! There was a semi truck in front of me the other day that was swerving from side to side going over the center line and going about 20 miles under the speedlimit on the highway. I honked first, then twice, then I finally called the number on the "How's my driving?" bumper sticker that was on the back of his truck and reported him to his company. A big truck like that is just way to dangerous to have driving like that on the roads. Anyways, I was very satisfied when on my return trip home to see him pulled over by the state patrol and being given a sobrity? test. I did my good deed for the day.

I don't yell at them, but I do talk to them. I can't stand people who are out for a slow drive when I am in a hurry to get somewhere. I'll just say things like, "Going slow enough buddy." You can see how road rage occurs when people are like your mom. She had better be careful.

HAHAHA! I yell all the time ... always very helpful things. Like, "You really, really want to turn here" and "You're late! Speed up!" and sometimes I pray for them "Please, Lord, let them meet a very nice policeman on their way!" I think it's probably "safe" to speed 5mph or so over the limit on most roads... more than that, though, really risks the lives of others, yourself, and getting a ticket. Unless someone's dying... what's the hurry? Even if you end up a few minutes late to something, you're not going to get there THAT much faster that it's worth lives being lost.
