Do you like to burn candles?

I always knew that I was a candle freak but today I realized how much I really love them. I work at home and part of my morning routine (after showering, turning on the TV, and firing up my laptop) is to light the candle next to my work table. I love the warm color of the flame and the way it makes the living room glow. I burn them all day for hours. From the time I get up til the time I go to bed or leave the house for band practice or going out for dinner. I love the ambiance and the way they scent my house like fruit or chocolate or whatever the scent is. I really like things that smell like fruit or baked goods. I don't like flowery scents very much. I use yankee candles a lot and also candles from Keystone Candle Company in Pennsylvania as they are just as good as Yankee but much less expensive. I also like a brand called Woodwick which has a wood wick that crackles like a wood fire. Kind of cool.
This morning I realized that I burn thru an entire yankee candle every week! That's a lot!Do you like to burn candles? Why? What are your favorite scents? What are your favorite brands?

I like the kind of ambiance a burning candle is giving. especially if it is a secented one. But i can not do it home. Aside from my kids who might play on it, our house has many openings. The smell will not be contained inside the house but will surely goes out of the door and windows. But if I am inside my room, I am burning my scented candles. But lights it off as soon as I does out of my room too.

Ya,i like them a lot.A light from candle looks much more beutiful than a bulb.I like burning candles esp at ocassions like birthday parties and Diwali...

I do burn candles almost every day. I have two dogs so I always want the place to smell good. I enjoy the fresh linen smell, and recently I bought a candle with the fragrance of 'Daylight.' I don't know how they came up with a daylight candle, but it works for me!

i do like to burn candles that are really smelly (in a good way) but i dont do it all the time. in the summer its too hot, but now that fall is upon us, i will start to burn candles again. As for scents that i like, they are like ocean breeze and vanilla...i dont have a specic company that i buy from, but like a variety.

I love burning candles as long as their scented. I am very careful never to leave one unattended especially with the cat around. Hubby burns them all the time too. I love the apple spice, the cinnamon and they have a pumpkin pie one that smells devine.

I love candles myself and burn them all the time. My favorite brand is Yankee Candles though I do enjoy the Home Interior ones as well. I also like the Walmart brand (one is called Sunflower and I LOVE how it smells) and Dollar General also has some very nice scented jar candles. Besides candles I also love burning the tarts. I have several tart burners throughout my home. One that I particularly like is called Bayberry. I love burning that one--reminds me so much of growing up at home and the house smelling like it in December...brings back warm memories. So yeppers, I am a candle junkie too.

I love Yankee Candle Sage and Citrus scent. There are few scents that I can tolerate. Amongst the few are berry scents, roses (if light), and anything citrus.

I like to burn candles in the winter, right around Christmas times. My favorite candles are the ones that smell like sugar cookies and pumpkin pie. I haven't seen any from any of the candle companies you mentioned around here in California. I mostly buy mine from Wal Mart, but I am considering making my own someday.

Hi Buggheart! You sound just like me. I burn candles everday. My favorite scent is vanilla or like you said something is baking. I only get yankee candles. I did come across a great candle its cinnamonn bunn. And they sell it at Kmart. I couldnt believe the scent is delicous. I also burn tarts alot.Have fun burning your candles.LOL

We love candles too. A few years ago we bought a candle - the scent was pound cake, it was a big candle...the dog loved it too.
He ate it.
It did not hurt him, and I thought it was pretty funny.

Hi Buggheart,
I have a 15 month old so I can't burn candles all day like I'd like too, but I do burn them as often as I can. I have always loved candles and I have quite a collection. I enjoy all kinds of scents like fruit, vanilla, chocolate, and baked goods. I really like how candles make the house smelling fresh instead of stale because the weather is getting autumnish, and it isn't warm enough to have the windows open. I really like Glade candles because they are made by an air freshening company, so I find the smell lasts longer.
