If you do paint from your imagination, what do you like to paint? I like to paint imaginary trees. And you?

That's an interesting approach! :-) I'll bet that alot of artists like to combine the real with the imaginary as well. Thanks so much for commenting.

I like to paint imaginary people in imaginary scenes. Its fun to paint or draw something that you came up with on your own.

Yes, I've seen your trees, very nice! As you probably already know, I tend to paint realistically. But, once in a while, I will paint something from my imagination. Sometimes, I get more money from the imaginary paintings, which is not my usual style, than from the realistic paintings.

Darlene, Yes, I have seen your very lovely landscapes! It's nice to know that you paint from your imagination, too. :-)

I like to paint imaginary flowers and cute animals. Sometimes I like to paint really scary looking imaginary faces.

I also prefer to paint from my imagination. Copying reality is usually forced for me and it doesn't happen easily. I also do not understand reality so it is more difficult for me to capture it. My imagination on the other hand is so vibrant and energetic that it needs an outlet. I like to paint lines that swim around the paper of the canvas with a reserved freedom. When I am in art mode I look out into the imaginary world from a tightrope that I am walking on. The tightrope keeps me lifted up away from the world so I can't really see it that great. Nevertheless, the tight rope keeps my head up in the clouds where I could see the imaginary world quite clearly. Where can one view the imaginary trees that you paint?
