Ok i'll try and give you the best piece of advice i possibly can for selling on ebay. don't ask other people for advice on what to sell as they will not tell you what their best sellers are due to it creating increased compertition for them, you might get alot of " dvds sell well, cds sell well, games sell well, tech sells well " etc but then you are left to find suppliers for these things and thats not an easy thing to do unless you have an established business. What you are better off doing is doing searches on ebay finding things which people are bidding on and which are going for some decent money, try going to carboots, garage sales, etc you can pick some good stuff up there for cheap and resell it on ebay for a profit and with that your not selling the same thing over and over again you are keeping yourself amused and learning something from the things you are selling. Buying trends vary on ebay one month something will be hot the next month not what you have to do is be prepared to move to another product when needed as fast as possible. The other thing you can do is find a poduct which does not have a huge amount of sellers ( eg dvds have around 5000 sellers or more ) and then find a source where you can buy the product from and then your set. Also you could try sprucing up your auctions, i used to have a web site which i hosted me html forms on for my ebay auctions, they were unique and loked funky and it drew people in because i had taken the time to do something different. It's not hard to do something sit down thinking and coming up with something new to appeal to people. I hope that might be some help to you. regards redfang

the problem with wholesalers lists is they become outdated and then certain sites just keep them running without updating them so eventually you have a list which is next to useless, i ran an online shop for about a year and ebay was one of my major selling venues and i did quite well until the competition became a little fierce, being in the uk i had to register as a business but once i had done this and done a little looking around i found that there were trade fairs / shows where companies go with their products to show them off to retailers it was a great day out but it also meant i could find suppliers for nearly everything then it became easy, they would send me cataloges regular i had full access to their web sites and ordering stuff was a doddle. it's all out there waiting for you to find it though i will stress had i not been a registered business none of the suppliers would have touched me with a barge pole

Technology items sell well on ebay. I just purchased a t-mobile prepaid card on ebay. It seems as though sellers of these cards are doing very well.

traditionally august and july are low selling months in antique stores...I have an antique mall spot and they told me those two months were low going in. Maybe things will look up for you.

All I can tell you is that Halloween items right now will be a big seller. Just about everyone loves Halloween. Do a search on Ebay. Most of the "Vintage Halloween or Vintage Christmas" items sell like hot cakes. Also, Vintage Halloween Postcards sell good all year round. Good luck in your search, it's not easy.
