does anyone think windows vista is any good?

i have just bought a new laptop, and it came with windows vista, several people advised me to get XP rather than vista, but the man in shop said that most computers now all have vista as standard. I could not get one with XP. I have had a lot of problems with vista, not being able to download stuff, access stuff and am also finding other software for the computer is not compatible with windows vista. what do others think?

In my opinion right now vista is not any good so If I was you, I'd probably go back to xp but after 3-4 years vista is going to be the best and the most populous operating system invented, that is probably the time you'll wanna want to go back to vista.

i have windows vista and previously had windows XP. i like windows vista alot better. the layout is alot nicer and i find it easier to figure out. it is true that alot of software is not compatible with vista but more and more i am able to find the software i need for it.
