I also used to do until a few days ago. Now I don't need to keep it switched on in night while sleeping. So i leave it on a table. I have got rid of that habit.

i place my cellphone on the table beside my bed. I am uneasy whenever i don't have my cellphone with me. So It has to be close to me.

I used to do exactly the same as you.But like you've mentioned, the ill effects of radiation and memory loss as its result, are reasons enough for me to stop keeping my cellphone on bed beside my pillow.Instead,I now keep it in the lowest rack of my bedside table.I don't know how good is that, but now I feel that I can reach it easily and its at a safe distance from me.Yes,I too use it as an alarm clock.

Yes I do but not under my pillow cuz sometimes it feel down when I move. I have a small table beside my bed and I put it there for I can saw what time is it. And I don't want to missed any call from my family that's why I have to put it beside me.

Cellphone - A cellphone has become vital for this generation.
Hi daryljane! I am a marketing professional and majority of my calls received on my mobilephone are work related. Still I do not pick any calls in between 11-30 in the night when i go to sleep till 6-30 in the morning when i wakeup since i keep my mobile in silentmode during that time.I need my 7 hours sleep to charge me up for the next day and do not like to be disturbed by calls in the midst of the night.Anyone who wants to contact me can wait till morning or leave an sms. I use my mobile phone as alarm too though i do not need one to wakeup.

Yes, I put my cell phone next to my pillow when I sleep, but I turn it off after I set the alarm clock. It will automatically alarm when it is time to alarm. I don't leave my cell phone on while sleeping as it radiates to our brain damaging our health.

Ever since I use my cellphone as alarm clock, I've put my cellphone beside me when I sleep. I would turn off my cellphone when I sleep because I do not want any disturbances. It is also easier for me (lazy bum) to reach for my cellphone when the alarm goes off haha.

Hello daryljane, I don't put my cell phone beside me when I go to sleep. But it is somewhere in the house, nearby me. Maybe in my computer room, or my dressing table or in the living room ... *laughs* I hate being disturbed my a telephone ring when I am fast asleep. However, my cell phone is switched on 24 hours a day... Just in case there is an emergency call...

hello, daryljane. I usually put my cellphone beside my pillow too, but I turn it off. First, I don't want to be disturbed when I am sleeping; then, as all know it is harmful to our health when the cellphone is so near to us. The necessary radiate is enough, so avoiding it when we have a rest is essential I think.

I usually do no matter where I sleep, mainly because I also use my cellphone as an alarm clock which comes in handy especially when I am away from my own room and own clock.

yes, i too keep by cellphone close to me, the first reason for that is that i dont have any time piece in my room so always have to depend on the cell phone and secondly i use the alarm clock of my phone, whether i sleep during day time or if i have to wake up early in the morning. although i hate to read messages in the mid of night, usually these are not the messages sent by friends.

Actually, before I got married I usually put my cellphone beside my pillow. And now, when I got married I just put that in my dresser and infact I turn it off. There was one time I put that beside my pillow and suddenly someone texting me. oh! my gosh my husband just so mad at me, so after that happened no more cellphone beside me.
