Pets have become the important part of our lives. Nowdays, people like to keep all kinds of pets in their home. Dogs and cats are very common. but we can also find iguuanas, turtles, snakes, birds, and so on. We see a lot of pet shops and animal hospitals, and some universties teach students to become a pet dector. There are even more TV programs showing pets as main characters. People raise pets because they want to give their love to them. They also want to get love and attention back from pets. A hospital in Seoul is using a pet for helping children who can't communicate with the outside world. Dogs is good friends to us. Do you raise pet now? If yes, please tell me about your pet.

Hi mari123.. Yes, I do have a pet at home. It is my cute and wondeful cat. The name of my cat is junie. He is a male with a cute size and shape. Actually, this cat is vey goodboy. He never tried to steal some foods in the kitchen. He obeys and he waits patiently for the food that we will give him. He has some benefits in our home. He used to catch some rats and other animals that are very annoying in our house. Overall, I love my pet right now. Have a nice day and God speed!

Yes, I raise my pets. They're my furbabies. I have 1 chihuahua who I've raised from 6wks. 1 solid black cat that is a kitten from my baby who went missing. I've raised him from birth. He's 6mo now. Then I have 1 chihuhua (exact age unknown) she was sort of a foster but the owner hasn't asked for her back and she's totally part of our family now so I'm hoping the owner never does. My young chihuahua is a bit much for me to handle. I thought of sending him back to the breeder and then changed my mind. The breeder got a little upset with me so I sent him for a week. Then he escaped and I realized just how much I loved him.I was grieved beyond belief. When he miraculously survived a night in 3 digit heat out in the woods, I got him back and don't plan to ever let him go again!

Yes, pets can be a good company and even help with people that are sick. It's a relationship where both human and animal give something and receive something with a bit less stress than normal human to human relationships:) I have a dog, two cats and some tropical fish. They all bring me something special and I love them to pieces:)

Persian - This looks like my ca, except my cat has one blue eye and one yellow eye.
Yes I have grown up around animals all my life. Right now my family has 2 dogs, 7 cats, 2 birds and a fish. 1 of the cats is soley mine though...the rest of the animals basically belong to my mom lol. My cat is a White Persian. She is very sweet and I love her very much! =) She doesn't have the same face as a normal persian. Usually the faces are very squished and kind of funny looking. She has more of a normal cat face, maybe a little different. I wish I had a picture of her on my computer to share, but I don't have any at the moment X.X I did find a picture of a cat that kind of looks like her, so I'll upload that one to the discussion =)Oh, and my cat has 1 blue eye and 1 yellow eye:)

I have 2 dogs now that have been here for about 5 years now. In fact one of them is the mother of the other. I also have an active fish tank which I find it relaxing to sit down and just look at while in moments of stress . I think having pets has been a good thing personally as I am always playing with each morning, night and whenever I come home, they are always barking and waiting for me to come out. It's been great. It's like having another family member in terms of having dogs.

I have a Jack Rat Terrior. He is 10 lbs and going to be 2 years old at the end of October. My husband and I tell him he is our son's big brother. He acts like he is a baby. He hates to be alone. He's a great dog. He lets my son crawl all over him, pull his ears and legs, and even eat his legs. All this and the dog just lets him do it. His only problem is that he is scared of everything. He was always like that

My tiel Mookie - My cockatiel Mookie
Right now I am raising a cockatiel who I've got at only a few weeks old and had to hand feed. This little guy is awesome. I could go on about all the things he does but it would take pages...lol. I'm also waiting for a yorkie terrier to be delivered to me this week. Her name is Kitty and she's almost 9 months old. I've only seen pictures of her and fell in love instantly. I'm looking forward to many happy years with her.

Right now all I have is a cat named Goldbird. He is a very sweet cat that loves kids. He's almost an adult now and his personality just fun. He is a protector of our house. No other animals come near this house. And you won't find a bug in this house. We bought him for our daughter for her birthday. Which is where the name Goldbird came from. He's a wonderful cat. We used to have a turtle and fish, but we decided to let the turtle go and the fish, well, fish don't last long usually anyways. But ours lasted about 4 years!

I grew up in Europe. In a small town where most people had pets. Growning up we always had cats, dogs, and horses. I have lived in the USA for the last 20+ years. About 5 years ago, we decided to get a dog as a family pet. After long discussions, we settled on a GermanShepherd pup. Sheba will be 5 years old this Halloween. She and I are best friends. We go on our runs and walks together, she shows unconditional love, and is very protective of the whole family. I have two teenage boys who adore this dog. Two years ago, I decided Sheba needed a four legged friend to keep her comapny. I wasn't ready for another dog, so I decided to get a kitten. I callled the kitten Chloe (actually, my husband did). The cat and the dog have become bestfriend. They drink from the same water bowl, sleep together at times, and often sit together in Sheba's house. I don't think this household will ever be without a pet again. Pets bring so much joy, pleasure and love to a family.
