Did you ever start making a discussion here on myLot and then change your mind?

Have you ever seen or written something here on myLot that got you started thinking and thinking until before you knew it you had written practically a whole book? I do. I get really carried away here. Just now I was going to ask my myLot friends if they ever went a long distance to see a ghost and the discussion I was going to start got so long and involved that I cut it out and pasted it somewhere else. Instead of the discussion it started to be, it is now a whole essay, long enough to publish in a different format. Did anything like that ever happen to you? Have you ever written something here and then had to erase it? Maybe you changed your mind? Maybe while you were typing somebody else got in ahead of you and said some of the same things faster? Maybe you typed a long and heartfelt answer to someone's question and then realized, too late, you weren't logged in and myLot "ate" your reply. Has that ever happened to you? I wish I had a dollar for each time I have done that!

Not with discussion. The most time it happe to me, when I am responding to somebody and just feel that is not really what I want to say, so I would just delete it.

Laurika, I am so sorry but this discussion is now going to have to be removed because the person who replied after you broke the myLot rules by posting a referral link.

Yes it just happened to me too *laughs*. I was thinking about a mylot topic yesterday and I was adding more thoughts to it and then it turned out to be about to do a blog entry. Therefore I had to say "sorry" to mylot *laughs*. But I do think maybe I should post that entry in here and start a discussion because I want to share what happens in my birthplace. Oh yes and sometimes when I think of a discussion, and when I am about to post, I would notice that someone has the same thought and post 2 minutes earlier than me *laughs*. Then I have to forget "my thoughts". Oh well!

I have some thoughts in my mind that I want to express here, but I make sure that posters won't get bored on reading my long post. It does happen to me and many times I get to delete it, so I just try to type some of the details and then put some of it in my comments under those who responded to it. But what happens is, I also tend to forget some of those I wanted to relay because I try to keep all of them inside my mind!LoL

I should be like you and try to keep my replies shorter probably. I need to read the guideline again and see if they help with the length question.

No, it has not happened to me. Before writting something I check here that I am logged in. Also i write when i feel so. Very few of my responses are long like I have writen a book. I generally keep both my discussions and answers short.

You sound very organized. I am more spontaneous. If people like me didn't have people like you setting such a good example, the world would probably be even more confusing.

Well, that happens to me all the time but i don't get to type very long sentences... it also happens when i answer a particular discussion... after writing my opinion... i suddenly change my mind thinking that my opinion wasn't strong enough or it was too dumb... so, i just erase it and not respond to that particular discussion at all...

I apologize, but Perry2007 has posted a referral link in this discussion and that is against the myLot guidelines, so unfortunately this discussion will now have to be removed.
