Every year usually from winter to spring..and summer to fall...i get sick. Today is the 3rd day of a sore throat and just plain feeling crappy. My throat feels like dry sand paper when i swallow or cough and i constantly feel like i might gag. I hope that tomorrow im better and not worse. I havent had the flu in while and I hope i escape another year of it. Colds and the Flu are the one things that i dread every year...what do you dread?

Dang Amber, sorry to hear about that. I too suffer from "shocks" when the seasons change. The one thing I can't really stand and barely get use to. I'd suggest having hot tea and beverages to open up the breathing systems (I do this.) Winter is especially good since its a nice excuse to break out the hot cocoa. It really cleans out the breathing system and heats up the body a bit, perfect for discouraging innerbody invaders/viruses. If you are still feeling weird make sure to get some good vitamins in, focusing on doubling up on B complex and Vitamin C. If things still feel weird, I'd just rest it up a bit. Sometimes just having a good rest can clear up the symptoms and put your body at better ease. Take hot showers as well to keep the body in a warm environment (obviously don't do this if you are feverish). Bah, look at me. I'm sure I'm boring you. I'll just take my leave now. I hope the fall change isn't too harsh to your body and sinuses.

Ambie! It's not over yet! My being a thread killer may come to fruition. I do hope Amber comes in to see the responses. I always want to help fellow allergy sufferers. Ah, who am I kidding, I just help anyone I'm able to.

That is the same for me...the weather changes and before you know it...I'm sick. I have a hard time fighting it off too. Knock on wood...I haven't gotten anything yet. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

For three years, my mom and I would get the throw up kind of flu around Thanksgiving. Three consecutive years, until my dad started thinking we were making ourselves sick by thinking about going to see family. Of course that's ridiculous. I'd find another way to get out of that, LOL. No, but it was so precise, we could count on it. Despite a flu shot and taking a lot of vitamin C, we'd go through it. It's been two years since we had that awful crud, but every year around October and November, I really dread what may happen. But I think my mind will be otherwise occupied this year. : (
