Where do you go when you want a good burger?

To get a really good burger I'd prefer to fo to Backyard Burger, but I don't have one near me, and that are expensive to boot. But usually I can make one at home that I find better than the local burger joints around. I don't like lettuce because it can get soggy, and I love mustard on a burger more than any other condiment. Where do you go when you want a good burger? Burger King, your mom's? If you are a vegetarian, what is the closest thing to a burger that you eat? What makes the burger so good?

Hello!!I go outside and fire up the old trusty barbecue and slap on a nice quater pounder burger with steak seasoning and fried onions and mushrooms on the side burner to give some extra tongue dripping flavor, lol. When its done i put the mushrooms&onions on the burger with a mozzarella cheese slice on top of it and let it melt over the burger then put mustard, ketchup and relish, yummmmmyyyyy!;)What make the burger soooo good is the steak spices and the taste of the charcoal in the meat. Thanks!!Now im really hungry.lol:)

I prefer to make my own hamburgers. I like them a bit greasy, and with only mayo, ketchup, sometimes mustard, and cheese. I like them on regular white bread. I do not like hamburger buns.

Fast food wise, Backyard Burger makes a mean hamburger, but they are expensive. I love their waffle fries too. I would honestly take a grilled burger at home any day. My husband can make a good burger. Sometimes, I just crave a good cheeseburger from home, you know? And you're right about other fast food burgers. The lettuce gets all soggy and icky and it's gross. I eat mine pretty plain though. Cheese, ketchup, and sometimes lettuce and mayo. I'm a simple gal.:P

My favorite burger place is a local restaurant called Pasttimes in the town I grew up in, which is about an hour away from where I live. I'm not a huge fan of fast-food burgers, although I do eat them. I don't eat lettuce on my burger at fast-food places either because it is usually wilted and brown.

I love pizza and I was born near Naples where you can taste the best pizza in the world because Naples is the house of pizza and the place where pizza was born...so whenever I go and visit my parents I go out for a wonderful pizza..but you can taste a good pizza here in Rome, too if you know the right place!!! and I know them!!!! not like Naples, but very very tasty!!!

I like Fuddruckers, I can even get a medium rare burger because they grind their meat every day. I like mustard & tomatos on my burgers. What is really awesome is I can get Buffalo (bison) meat burgers there! Doesn't count against my beef intake & tastes just as yummy!

I don't have a Fuddrucker's in my area, but when I visit my sister we go there, and I love their ostrich burger. So good and 97% fat free!

I also like Fuddruckers. I love a good bacon cheeseburger. The best thing about Fuddruckers is all the choices you have, not only from type of meat, size of burger, how it is cooked, and whatever toppings you desire. Yummy!!! I'm really getting hungry.

My hubby makes the best burgers on the grill. Last weekend he made the best ones yet, they had shredded cheddar, diced red onion, and diced jalepeno peppers mixed in along with an egg and seasoning. He also grilled the buns on the grill. I like mine charred on the outside, but not overcooked on the inside. His burgers were so good, they didn't need any condiments, but I put a little ketchup and dill relish on mine. I like mustard on my burgers too. I like the yellow mustard, but right now my favorite is the stone ground brown mustard.

I think he should have his own restaurant. He's getting better all the time. Lately, he's been watching Bobby Flay on the Food Network, and getting ideas. Now he wants to put in an outdoor kitchen for himself. He has an assortment of grills now, and he uses all of them. I haven't been any place that could make a steak, burger, chicken, or pork better than what he makes.

I love burgers at Wendy's. I like bacons and mushrooms in a burger and Wendy's has a good combination of these. I love their bacon mushroom melt. We always buy this particular burger whenever we watch a movie. And their fries are also yummy.. =P

I prefer making my own burger steak. I can add as many spices or chili as I want and my hubby loves my burger steak. I also love mustard on burger. ;-D YUMMY!!! Now I'm craving for burger he he he he...When I do make my own burger steak, I don't add lettuce. We usually add chili pickles plus a slice of cheese and we'll add more pepper on the steak. HOT HOT burger! ;-D

Yeah, over here in Finland there's this bottle of pickles (it's cut into small pieces) with small pieces of chili. It's not TOO hot, but it sure tastes better than regular pickles he he he...

I go to my refrigerator. I take out some hamburger. I mix in some lipton soup mix. Then add a little catchup. Then cook it. Then put a huge slice of a sweet vadalia onion on it, or if spring, a wild leek or 2 or 3. Then I put it between either 2 store-bought sides of a hamburger bun or split my brother's girlfriends homemade ones and stick it in. If I want it to be even better, I have my husband do it up on the grill and put A-1 sauce on instead. Or I go to Sandy's Kountry Kitchen and order a hog burger. Those things are HUGE! But good. When I was a vegetarian (short-lived activity, anemic and other health problems), I loved the burgers made with smashed beans, cheese, and egg with carrot grated into it. Then fried in Canola oil and drizzled with olive oil and put in a whole wheat bun. Also topped with a sweet vadalia onion. Love those sweet onions.

You're a chef. Did you ever go to cooking school? I can't go completely vegetarian either. Anemia has haunted me since I was a kid. Thankfully, now they don't make me take liquid iron medicine, gross!

Johnny Rockets!! It is without a doubt the best burger I have ever had. I'm not sure how many areas of the country have them. I know CA does and a few places on the east coast. It's a 50's style place. If you have not had there burgers yet you have got to try!!
