do you think that the internet usage is an anti-social activity?

i think it is somewhat, to a certian extent. it causes you to stay home and be by yourself, but on the other hand you can meet people from all over the world that you would normally not have the chance to meet!

I think its not. I have friends that I do not want to be with in person, or talk to on the phone, but I feel like I can talk to them online and still socialize with them. Its also harder for me, with kids during the day to sit and talk to someone in person or on the phone. With being online, i can multi task to the fullest and still have a conversation with them. Plus I can't really "mylot" when someone is visiting, it would be RUDE! :)

I really think it just depends on the person using it. I think if you already have anti-social tendencies then it may make them worse. Or sometimes shy people open up more on the internet. I have met a lot of really great people from chatting on-line,including my husband.
