Help in Imge Authentication software

Im doing a research proposal for my graduate school subject on photo authentication. Anyone have an idea on what algorithm to use or does anyone have a paper related to my proposal?

When you mean photo authentication, what do you mean? Would you like to give some more details? I am not an expert in image processing but I might be able to give suggestions? No guarantee that I can give good suggestion though, so do forgive me if I can not help in the end.
