Am I losing my mind????

OK, I just saw a discussion that intrigued me, now it's GONE!!! I only read most of the beginning of it, then I wanted to see the person's profile (knowing I could get back to the discussion from there), but it's gone - in a matter of seconds...
The discussion was started today, the person was shot at work and is now out of intensive care. I was curious about what kind of work she/he does to get shot at work, so I looked at the profile. When I went to go back to the discussion and read the rest, it was GONE! I did a search for some of the words I remembered and it's not coming up. I wonder what was wrong with it that it was deleted????

I've been hearing over the MyLot grapevine that lots of discussions are being deleted. Maybe they are tightening down on a few rules. Sad really. Perhaps the subject matter -- someone getting shot -- was too violent for MyLot. Who knows. They might have to rewrite the guidelines.

I noticed that too - right when I posted this discussion. All of a suddend I'm noticing that it's happening to everyone. The problem with TOS is that they're so long, convoluted and boring that hardly anyone really reads ALL of it for every little instance.

Yep, I agree. I just tried to read the guidelines again and found myself skimming through the paragraphs after a few moments. They are long and only a few words here and there stand out. But they did cover themselves. Still the reasons why they're deleting certain discussions seem to have no premise. Mmmm, that last sentence just rolled off my fingers. LOL. Have a great weekend and keep on writing.

Well you can check them again, just browse for the member's/poster's username and profile to direct you back on the post. But if the post was really deleted, then you can never really locate it anymore.
But I suspect that would mostly be a glitch, since I also experienced that two days ago and then found the again the discussion later that day!;)

I just used my "Back" button to get to the discussion and it was blank - except for a message saying the discussion was removed because it violated the mylot rules (or something to that effect). I guess I'll never know what happened...

I don't remember the person's username, and since the discussion has been removed, I can't get any more info on it. I wonder what was wrong with it that they removed it????
