Its a simple question with a lot of answers im sure. How do you get rid of a present you dont want?

I have a spot in the closet for present that we've received but either can't use, don't want, or already have. When an occasion comes along where it would be appropriate to re-gift the gift (like for the grab bag game at a company party), then it comes out of the closet and gets rewrapped. I'm sure this is probably not a very "polite" thing to do, but I really can't think of any other way to get rid of those presents.

What do you do if the person who gave it to you asks where it is or what happened to it?

Luckily I haven't come across that problem yet! :) Most people that have given us gifts just leave it at that, and don't inquire about it after it's left their hands.
