My new myLot plan & a challange!

So I just updated my interests and upon going over them noticed that a lot of topics that generally end up stuck in "life", "make extra money" and "people" are really better suited elsewhere. There are so many interest topics that are lonely!!! I'm huge on organization and I always try and fit my discussion in with a topic that goes with it, I've also noticed that means less responses if any. Which means that instead of posting in correct topics, they get stuck in the more general ones or that others get filled with things that don't belong. What am I going to do? I'm going to start at the bottom by starting discussions in the topics in my interest that are at the bottom and work my way up. If people are more aware of the vast topics then maybe not only will we find better discussions and ones that interest us more but other topics will be less clogged. That's the idea anyway. I'm also going to go through my friends interests and see if I find any I might like. What's the challange? I challange everyone to do the very same thing. At the very least you'll discover a whole new favorite topic to write about or even a new audience for topics you already write about. Who's with me?

*smiles* I agree with what you have just said and I am with you on this one! I tend to do some organization around here tomorrow or something. Well, my life seems to be too much of a mess recently (even without a job *laughs*), and I need to get to the things one by one. Hopefully I will get around with modifying my interest around here over the weekend!

Thanks! It feels great when you can have things organized properly. Honestly I'm an organizational freak because I'm really lazy and if things are organized it's so much easier to locate instead of having to look for stuff, lol.

I think it's really good to be organized! I am organized on certain things but not with something else. These days, my thoughts are not as organized too! Have to fix that and hopefully when I go to bed tonight, I could mentally prioritize things to do for tomorrow.

I find certain things easier to organize and others I don't bother with (such as my room, lol). I keep everything online pretty well organized because all it takes is thought really, I don't have to actually pick anything up, lol.

I know for me I sometimes have a topic and find it hard to think of a interest to put it under. So, I will think of the topic of the subject that I want to put the most emphasis on for my target audience. For instance, if I wrote a poem about children. Which subject should it go under? I do not think that it should be poetry. Many poets don't even have children and son parents may not feel like reading a poem. But, if I put it under parents or children. If I wanted to say something about a way to make extra money on Mylot. Should I put it under make extra money or Mylot? Judging from this site, people are more likely to look under Mylot. We are tired of the make extra money posts, but I for one, never get tired of learning more about what is going on with Mylot. If you have friends who have your notify on in their profile, they are going to receive your discussion regardless, so I would say make it count and get their attention.

It's true that some discussions are hard to place and do fit into more than one place. I think it just makes things easier in general to open up the topic varieties more so that discussions are easier to find and placed in areas that make sense instead of the typical off the wall ones that get placed in the same three places.

This was posted a while ago. How is the plan going. I find that a lot of my discussions end up in myLot, lately. Or life, or people. I just assume it does not make any difference where they are submitted. My friends respond, if they can relate. I also get some good outside interest if the topic is just right.

I dont think there is anything on mylot which can be done in a planned way and you will get benefits. I think it is a great site but it lacks clarity in some directions like the earning pattern.

Lets go! I've been feeling a shake-up coming on, in my personal life and in my internet life. This is like spring cleaning... it will be good for the soul, when the work is done! The other part of MY challenge is to post more, rather than just answering. But as I told a friend earlier, it would be easier to post if I didn't know it all already! Its that age thing, you know... !LOL!

Yay! I'm so glad you're on board!! It is like spring cleaning, and in the end once we get used to it I think it will make things a million times easier. Instead of searching in a million places for a discussion, we will know where it's at. And for those days when you feel like there's nothing interesting to post to then you'll have a huge list to be able to go to something that interest you instead of having to filter through tons of cr@p. Posting should be easier for you, just clue us all in on what you already know.

I've been fuddle-brained long enough! And knowing that other people are feeling this same urge makes me think we're all waking up with a need to change the way life has been headed. This is a most wonderful and positive plan, my friend!
