Today when we are busy all the time with our daily routine, we alway feel, wish we had some free time to do lot of things that we don't do due to lack of time. So we usually say, when I will retire, I will do this and I will do that..... so friends what are your plans after your retirement. I have a dream to live in a small cottage on some hill station and become a teacher of some poor children who cannot effort to go to school.....this way my brain will work till last moment of my life and some children will be able to make their lives........what are your plans.....

Please do not laugh if I say I have the same dreams or desires as you have. I wish that I could teach poor children once I retire and I could share my knowledge with them and help them make responsible citizens of the country. I wish I could work with a 'Non Governmental Organisation' (NGO) to help the underprivileged children. I do not wish to earn if I am going to impart some knowledge or training to someone, I would, if God willing, would like to do it voluntarily and without asking for anything. I think whatever I have learnt in my life I owe that to someone (say my teachers) and I should return it by spreading my knowledge to others.

I am so happy deepak that your thoughts are just like mine. If only we both could retire together, then we could have fulfilled our wishes together.....:)), It is strange sometimes.....how thinking of two strange people is so much similar........Thanks for your reply........

Now it is clear that we are alike and we think on the same lines. As of now, I feel that we are not going to retire at the same time. Hopefully, I will retire later (agar jinda raha to), so your wish that we should retire together may not be fulfilled...LOL!. Whatever I wrote, I wrote it from my heart and God willing, I will try to do what is in my mind. Thanks very much for your sweet comments. :):) Have a great day! :):)

I'm going to relax. From the my retirement perspective I've been working for 40-50 years... I might be able to do some other stuff, but I'm going to relax and enjoy my retirement.

Hello Apsara60, Perhaps, as you've implied, I would like to work until my last day on Earth. I love what I do, and cannot imagine ever walking away from a committed professional life. Would I want more time to pursue those goals that have, thus far, eluded me? Absolutely! Yet, if I won the lottery tomorrow, I would be fast at work to establish a research & development center. I might add that 'an idle mind ... is a corpse'. However, me thinks the following does the point more justice. " The idle mind will sometimes fall into contemplations that serve for nothing but to ruin the health, destroy good humour, hasten old age and wrinkles, and bring on an habitual melancholy. 'Tis a maxim with me to be young as long as one can: there is nothing can pay one for that invaluable ignorance which is the companion of youth; those sanguine groundless hopes, and that lively vanity, which make all the happiness of life. To my extreme mortification I grow wiser every day... Lady Mary Wortley Montagu English letter author & poet (1689 - 1762)

good discussion people can fill no of pages on this topic. Everybody is thinking something or else. Whether we will reach upto that age or not. There would be lots of may or may not inbetween. For any type of planning or living u wish to live that we are dreaming of, we need financial security. And there are many tools for that and the best is insurance. I am saying this as we are into this service. Lets get back to the topic of retirement planning. I wish that i could open a home for old people, a free clinic and free food round the year to needy people.
