Is common sense really a bad master?

I've been on this site for quite a while. because of workload, I lost touch with myLoting for several months. Yesterday, i launched a come back with my former experience with the site dos and don'ts. alas, i got it all wrong many things have changed but thank goodness i noticed it almost immediately. I used common sesne to reenter the site but i got it all wrong.
Don't you agree with me that common sense could sometimes be a very bad master?

I don't agree.
Common sense is man's best friend.
I know so many highly intelligent, book-smart people that have ruined their lives over stupid mistakes because they failed to exercise common sense.
