This also explains the reason of the names tomato had in the past in the many languages: in English - love apple, in French - pomme d'amour, in German - Libesapfel, in Italian - pomo d'oro; definitions of which are all connected to love. As legends had it, men in France commonly give little plant of tomato to women as a sign of love.

Tomato contain lycopene whic is powerfull antioxidant which can also fight cancer cells. BUT I NEVER KNOW THAT TOMATO IS THE SIGN OF LOVE. IF YOU KNOW PLS TELL ME.

From which point of view, you are saying that Tomato is the sign of love.Instead Tomato work as puriffer for your body.I heard the pink as sign of love not any vegatable. Cheers, Swatig

what?why?i heared that tomato was once considered as a poisonous and jarpeodized vegetable,unless some one who is very brave to taste and claim them eatable and delicious. do they have some anecdote related to love?

I had come to know about this now only,i want to say from you only.But why is there any ingredient which increases the love in you or just as it is red in colour and red is the sign of love.So in this way you are saying that tomato is the sign of love?

I love tomatoes but how are sign of love? and love for whome?

I didnt know about that, how come. Do I have to say that all the fruits and vegetables that we have are all sign of love?
