HI ANAMIKA,Iam absolutely vegetarian, Even I didnot eat eggs. I like vegetable very much. The food stufs such as cereals, grains, fruits with seeds, citrus food, carrot, cabbage, green leafy vegetables, apples melons, paeches, pears etc are rich of dietry fibres which is very use ful for humamn body. Here is some advantages of veg foods. They are easily chewable,Especialy for elderlypeoples wholost their teeth. These are easily digestable. These are cheaper than nonveg foods.so even poor can eat them easily. Some vegs can be eaten raw to prevent loss of neutrients during cooking. These contain less fats than non-vegetarian foods. Vegetarian or non vegetarian foods, depends on varous factors such as cultural or dietary habits of the family, personal preference and taste.

I love vegetables very much but dont see myself living strictly on them. I dont like fish (I eat it though) and I love chicken, pork and beef (not on a regular basis though). Prefer a mixture of both. My brothers are strict vegetarians and I taste their food and actually enjoy it but to be one is not me. Both taste nice and I think your non-vegetarian stance is quite healthy too.

Hi lovelydame. I am neutral because I love to eat meat as well. But overall, I used to eat green leafy vegetables. I am aftering with the vitamins and nutrients that I may get from the vegetables. Actually, it is recommended to eat vegetables everyday. It is also recommended to eat some meats for proteins and iron. Have a nice day and God speed!

Hi Dear, I preferance is Vegetarian...That doesnt mean I am on opposite side to non veg food...but I have some of the point with me which turn my interest to veg food. I like to eat veg food and I havenot yet tasted non veg food.. I like veg food because veg food has got its own taste and you dont have to put lot of Masala to that food to make it tasty...More over most of the veg food doesnt get spoil if you dont keep it in Freez..But Reverse is the case with non-veg food its spoils early and get waste early..So the food which gets spoil outside who will Guarantee that it will not get spoil inside?? Finally, Non veg Food is really difficult to digest and it is not heavy for our Respiratory System and most of the Doctor adviced for veg food.. So by thinking this way I feel non-veg is not made for Human but it is made for Animals who have got abilities to digest it easily...

Dear Saurabh! You have said that you have never had non-vegetarian food. Do no think i am discriminating. With due respec to your religion and beleifs i just wantt to bring the following to your notice. If you abstain from non-vegetarian food because you are a Brahmin let me enlighten you on some facts. It was due to Buddhism that Vegeterianism was introduced into Hinduism. But do you know that Budha himself is a non-vegetarian? His teachings said "Let no one, O monks, knowingly eat the meat[of an animal killed for that purpose...] I prescribe, O monks, that flesh (or fish) is pure to you in three cases: if you do not see, if you have not heard, if you do not suspect[that it has been caught or killed specially to prepare food for you]." It’s accepted for Brahmins in Bengal and Orissa to eat fish, calling it ‘Jala Pushpam’. History clearly reveals that Brahmins were Non Vegetarians and perfect beef eaters. The respective animal sacrifice followed by Aswamedha and Gomedha Yagas is not merely for ‘bali’ sake but also for naivedyam (offering to divine power) and prasadam (holy food). Sarvepalli Radhakrishna, in his ‘Religion and Society’ said, “In ancient times meat was used by the Brahmins also. The old Vedic religion included the sacrifices of five kinds of animals: goats, sheep, cows, bulls and horses. Under the influence of Buddhism, Jainism and Viashnavism, the practice became discredited. Manu and Yagnavalkya impose so many restrictions about meat eating that they discourage it”. It is also a well known fact that modern day Brahmins eat eggs & diary products too which is considered non-vegetarian. .....This is just for your information, no offence meant.

I am not a vegetarian. I don't necessarily have to have meat in every meal although I do enjoy having meat at least with some of my meals. I don't care too much for meat substitutes that some vegetarians eat though.

I like it both, actually. And having mix is much better and I had tried it, and I like it and enjoy with the food. So non-veg plus veg, will be "OmniVeg"....my new term for it.
