Do you play to the Lottery?

I know some people who really spend big amounts of money in the lottery. Some gamble on sports bets, others on the regular lottery, etc. I have never spent much on the lottery really, even though i get a ticket now and then, specially when there's a huge bonus involved...you know, just in case lol. Do you play to the lottery? do you spend lots of money on it?

hi LightninStrike, Of course, if there is a large jackpot!! Otherwise, I seldom remember to play the lottery. I don't buy many tickets, because it only takes one to win. You just need the right one!!! Happy posting..

happens the same to me. I often forget to buy the ticket, so i end up not playing most of the time lol. I think it's a good thing though, otherwise i would be spending more money than i spend now, and that's not good. I don't play much anyway..just 3 or 4 dollars now and then.

Well I don't play regularly every week myself, but we do have a "syndicate" in our office, where everyone puts in £1.00 a week and we buy lines for the whole office, so I do take part. I don't think we have much chance - especially when you have so many people involved such as in the EuroMillions Lottery, but I guess if you don't try, then you don't get!! If there is a "rollover" with double or treble the amount of winnings in either the English or the EuroMillions, I will usually buy a ticket - but sadly I have never won more thsn £10.00 yet:-((

I don't spend a huge amount on the lottery, but I do play once in a while. Usually if I'm somewhere they sell them, and I have some cash I'll get a couple tickets.

My father sometimes gamble, but not that very often. He works abroad and he treats betting on horse racings as a past time, he also don't bet that much on races. I also used to gamble, but the specific sport I love betting was closed by authorities, eventhough they are legal and is helping our government. I forgot what it was called in english, but I love to watch and bet on this particular past time. It was dubbed as the, "fastest game here on earth" which is popularly known here as JAI-ALAI. I believe it originated in Spain and was introduced by Spaniards, during the time we were colonized by them.

Yes, I remember now. Thank you for providing good information and refreshing my memories about it, I really love watching Jai-Alai back then. We also used to have Spanish pelotaris here, but after the Fronton (cancha) was closed, they all went back to Spain. But we also have good filipino pelotaris here, who have been playing the sport almost half of their lives!;)

Yep, jai alai, also known as the basque ball, is a sport originated in the basque country, which is a region of spain. I know there are bets there around this sport, so are here, even though this sport is not well known nationwide, it's more specifical of that certain region.

I don't really get involved in betting in general but I do like to play the lottery - and to dream of all the things I could do for my friends and family if I won the jackpot! Having said that I don't spend huge amounts of money on it - you are just as likely to win with one ticket as you are with lots - or so I believe honey! xxx

Hi LightninStrike! Oh yes I do buy lottery tickets every once in awhile especially when the prized money is huge. You will never know I might just get lucky indeed. haha.. However I really don't spend so much on it because i know the chances of winning is not that big. Take care and have a nice day.

No, I don't play the lottery.. I don't believe in finding instant luck and fame, that kinda life is very short lived.. I prefr working hard to earn money and then enjoy it in the any way I like to.. That's much more rewarding... I believe in the saying, "Work hard, party harder"...

i think you've done a wise thing reducing your playing amount....playing when there are big jackpots is a good thrill, and way cheaper than playing all the time.

I used to regularly play the lottery, only a couple of pounds a week but nonetheless I was happy to win a couple of times. However, as time has gone on I felt more and more that it was little more than a mugs game and gave it up.

I guess everything in life goes in highs and lows, and everything changes, so wh knows, you might go back to playing again. Anyway, if you're fine with no playing at all by now it's very cool.

lottery - i play the lottery every now and then
I do play lotto every now and then, but only one number at a time. I don't spend a significant amount of money on it because I know the chances of winning are almost negligible. I also don't look at the jackpot. A bigger jackpot doesn't increase your chance of winning. And hey, 3 million pesos is a lot of money and can be multiplied if invested wisely.

well when there are huge jackpots i mainly play for the sort of excitement that the idea of having all that money produces, not because i actually think i will get it, otherwise it'd be depressing cause almost no one ever wins. But now and then i find it fun to play.

When we are in England we play it on Wednesday amd Saturdays and play the same numbers. When we are in the USA we play it when we remember to buy a ticket and usually we get quick picks that way if we forget there is no risk of our regular numbers coming out when we don't have a ticket. Not had a big win though. Keep praying for that.
