Mind would have to be when I worked for an Insurance Company. I was in my early twenties, had hardly any confidence in myself and the people that worked here were HORRIBLE!! THey would go to lunch and discuss it in front of you without asking you to join, they were nasty and excluded people who were new. At first I thought it was just me but then I saw them do it to others also. I left after 6 months and joined a different company, was much happier. Oh and the work was mind numbingly boring as well!! What/where was the worst place you ever worked?

I have just started my career, and I didn't like my first job.. Though it payed me well, none of the guys there were ready to help me out even in the slightest of problems.. They had hired me as a fresher trainee but were extracting work from me like I am an experienced person.. I left that job 2 weeks back and have now grabbed a much better job than, which pays even better, and here the guys are helping me a lot, and most importantly, they are treating me as a fresher, not experienced...

My first job as an executive secretary to the president of a privately owned business was the worst work experience I've ever had. Prior to that company, I had already worked as a staff in a big company where everyone was proffessional. You could hardly speak to the big boss. Then when I applied as an executive secretary, everything was entirely different. The husband and wife both worked in the business. The husband was the president. He was my boss. The wife was loud. The minute she would walk into the office, she was yelling at the top of her voice. Every morning, the minute she got up from bed, she would call the office and yell at her 2 secretaries on the phone. I felt really sorry for these girls. Sometimes they were already afraid to pick up the phone each time it rang. They worked real hard and they were so scared of her. I often wondered why they stayed. There were times when these 2 girls would make mistakes, and the wife would turn to me and yell at me for not teaching her secretaries...OMG! I could only stay in that job for about three months. I had to go. The 2 secretaries begged me not to leave, but I just couldn't stand the kind of working atmosphere there was in that office. There was too much stress and tension! So after that, I applied to the same position, as executive secretary to the president, in a big company, where everyone was treated as professionals. Fortunately, I was accepted, and was even promoted to a managerial position a year after.

The worse place I ever worked at was mcdonalds. It was so horrible that it scared me for 6 years of getting another job. I remember the first day that I started the job they yelled at me for going to slow with making the burgers. Hell I had no idea what I was doing they just told me to go there and they didnt tell me what to do. SO I quit that job in less then a month.

I would have to say a dry cleaners. I worked the counter and pinned tags to the clothing. It wasn't the constant standing or the pinning of the clothing that bothered me. Some of the customers were so rude and argued with company policies about the amount of time it took to actually send the clothes to the plant, have them cleaned and eventually returned to us. It took a few days and some people wanted their clean clothing yesterday!

My worst job was being a nanny. I was going to college, but was the nanny most the week. I was in my late teens and I hadn't gotten ill yet. So I didn't have a hard time keeping up with the toddler. The baby was a good baby as well. But the couple's house was nasty! On the surface it looked OK, but it got so bad that I would bring a sheet from home to put on the couch when I wanted to sit on it. I tried doing some clean up, but it offended her.

The worst place I ever worked was a place called Micro Media. I have never been so bored in all my life. You weren't allowed to talk to anyone and you just had to sit there and put medical records on micro film. It was horrible and i did this from 3 pm until 11pm. Hated it

The worst place I ever worked was for the Government. I can't say which branch, but it was horrible. Everyone thought I had it made with a government job. The overtime was unreal and although I got payed for it, when you averaged it out over the hours that you got ripped off for, the pay was less then working at most jobs. The supervisors didn't care about you. You were just a warm body there to work.

As a cook I have worked in some pretty awful places, because I and my family needed to eat. My ex didn't believe in working, but rather having the world delivered to him . Any how I am and was a very good cook, and I went to work for one lady that owned a coffee shop, she showed me how to make the the soup of the day, are you ready, take i 2 pound bag of frozen mixed vegetables but in a big pot and fill with water, boil for 1 hour, serve, UCK, beef sandwich use old bread first, no spread, slice 1/8 inch slice beef, just to cover center possibly 1/2 oz and one piece of lettuce use old first and make sandwich, now a bowl of this famous home made soup and a home made beef sandwich was only $6.00. Shortly after i started the first day the milkman was making his deliveries and showed me written on the back of his order book, was "do not ever eat at this place, it is disgusting" and he was so right.I quite after I filled my first order as it was for a family with four kids, so that was 6 orders of soup and sand special. there was no way I was going to make that crap and make poor people pay $36.00 for garbage that never cost her more than 20 cents to make, she used day old bread, the cheapest products available and unknowing people got stuck, it was the worst place I ever worked in because the location had all the potential in the world and she was to busy gouging people that she never saw that she could serve and make money by serving good healthy food, she didn't last long in business, and I later hear she didn't know why. I was so happy to see the door behind me.
