just curious...i have a cat once who would just like to look at things non-existent..i mean i saw my cat once looking at something in thin air..i tried to look at what my cat was looking but all i could see was nothing but my cat was looking at it intently..do you think they can see "ghosts"?

I don´t believe on ghosts or paranormal things, so, i don´t think the cat can see something like this. But, i´m sure they have some more sensibilities than humans.

i think dogs and cats have spiritual eyes and they can see things that humans can't. my dog was ever chasing and barking at something i ran after it to see what it was chasing but couldn't see anything ahead. so i wondered what it was. once too my cat ran furiously into the house and i went out to see what it was but saw nothing. i think they can see supernatural things.

Yeh that's unbeleiveable. I beleive cats and dogs can see things we can't. I had a cat that would be terrfied to go into the back woods of my neighborhood. No matter what you did and how many people were around him he wouldn't dare go there. he would run away as if, you were goign to bathe him. i did feel a little weird as well so maybe the cat knew somethign I didn't. who knows. Wish i could see things though :)

I've heard that but I think it's an old wives' tale. Cats can see light beyond the spectrum of human vision, though.

Cats have sensitivities that humans def do not, well most humans anyhow. We once had a kitten that would go out walking with us and next door was a graveyard, the cat would do anything to avoid once certain area every time it went out, so I say yes, that they do.

As funny as it seems, I wonder the same thing. I have two cats and sometimes, they will be looking in a corner or up into the air at what seems like nothing at all. I try and see what they see, but it seems like there isn't anything. The other strange thing they do is seem to notice when my brother is coming before he gets there. They run to the door or hang out in the kitchen waiting, and sure enough, a few minutes later, he arrives. How do they know?

Cats have superior hearing abilities that surpass the ears of humans and dogs. It is amazing that they can tolerate any type of noise! When I talk to my cats I usually whisper to give them a break!

Apparently the human visual range is anything from 620nm (red) to 435 nm (purple) and we cant see te uv or infared stuff emitted beyond those ranges. however experiments seem to indicate that rats can see into the uv spectum upto 359nm, with some bats seeing 310nm to 600nm, and some birds to 340 nm. which seems to indicate we all have differnt ranges and if your colour blind you can't detect different shades/differences. so what stands out to us might not stand out to them, and likewise what is invisible to us is probably visible to them though its not something i've directly experimented with....

good question. i think it is true, i had a cat and it would do weird things like looking at something that is not there, but they are used to it and ignore them,

I think that cats are very cleaver animals, and I would not doubt that they can see what we cannot. I have six cats and they always notice and hear things before I do.
