http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/metropolitan/5201994.html Ya know, these stories are becoming way too frequent. Then, when kids are put in foster care you have the occasional foster parents that abuse the children and keep them in less than desireable accommodations,etc.. so what is the lesser of the two evils? For two days the toddler screams….and THEN finally the neighbors intervene….what is happeing to this country and the values of the people that live here? Have ppl become so desensitized to the concerns of others that they choose not to get involved or is it that we have become a nation full of fear and don’t want to get involved??? We are seriously digressing…..

I am really surprized that the child could keep up the banging and screaming for 2 whole days. after 3 or three hours of hearing this i would be calling the police or some one to come and investagate. Children do not scream that long unless something is wrong. This woman did not want the child or she would not have left her there locked in the bath room like that. There are just too many bad people in the world and I'm afraid that it is just going to get worse.

In my opinion, where a child is involved, EVERYONE should be concerned. After all..the children of today are our future. I have 2 children and I would only hope that a neighbour would intervene long before 2 days if my child was screaming.

it is a shame i thnk. i also don't understand when people can look after the child properly, why they foster the child? Here the child is punished for no fault of its own. So I think most of the people have really lost sense and act like this.

Hi Lifez2short! Gosh, you are right! There are so many news about child abuse and is getting more rampant each day. Really devastating to hear news like this. I hope everyone should care and be involved so child abuse will be stopped. I am from another country but I read news of abandonment and child abuse just the same here and elsewhere around the globe. So much evil. I hope one day, we could eradicate such evil behavior. Take care and more blessings to you.
