Has anyone used the Servicemagic site for home improvement needs?

I just tried Servicemagic to locate a locksmith to help me get back into my bedroom. When I left for work today, I locked my bedroom door key and house keys in my bedroom so I could not get in. I did not have a spare key outside of my bedroom so I needed help. I must say that Servicemagic is a great service and just after submitting information, I received a phone call from a locksmith. It only took a couple minutes to get help. This locksmith was excellent and knows a lot and received great service. What are your experiences using this site? Wow I never heard of this site..and actually just fell on this discussion now. What I am going to do it bookmark it into my favorites and should I need help will use this..
What time did you actually have to seek help...Was it earlier in the evening?
Was it a weekday or a weekend? Do you think it would matter when someone was seeking help?
I am going to head on to the site after finishing my response..This is an excellent source! Thanks Ken.

I remember that I was going to work that day so it was in the morning that I realized that I had locked myself out of the house and used the website while I was at work. I filled out the form on the website at work and five minutes later, I got a call from a locksmith. They were able to meet me at my house after I got off work and they took care of the problem. I think someone is available all week long. Not sure if the locksmiths or other helper are available 24 hours a day or on weekends.

Ken, I am glad you took time to clarify this. I might have tried it out to see if anyone would come at 2:00 am to help me back into my house:) I guess if I got locked out at that hour I would simply have to sleep in my car:(( as my neighbors really are not too friendly at all.

I have never heard of this site. In our area, there are not many professionals that come to your home. Most people repair their own things so there is not a need for them. I have no idea where the closest locksmith is. I bet it would be at least a couple hours away from here

No I have never used the service before. I lock my bedroom door too. I usually check to see if I have the keys with me. I bet you won't make this mistake again. It might be a good idea to get an extra key and put it someplace safe outside your bedroom. Its nice seeing you around, take care.

You are right that I will make sure this does not happen again. It cost $89 after having keys copied and the service cost and some other things I had done. Usually I do check for my keys before closing the door but this time I did not. I have a copy of my bedroom key hidden and will give a copy of my house keys to my parents. :-)
