My dear Bala, You know what our star ratings are at the discretion of the users, most of who rate us at their whims. Don't you think, this ratings are subjective and totally dependent on the view point of the person?
So, dear, you should not feel down. This things happen and we should take it in our stride. And we cannot judge anyone, we cannot punish anyone, we don't have the ability.

This is a usual complaint from many mylotters for no fault of theirs..I feel very sorry for your star value decrease as i know the happiness you felt while getting the blue star and even you started a discussion thnaking all friends..i feel many have rated negative and hence your rputation points are down with star value going back to red..i wish you retain the blue star very soon..

I believe the stars are the ratings that other users give you. Supposedly, it's not possible for just one person to affect this rating. Keep posting, and I'm sure you'll get your pretty blue star back soon! Good luck!

hello balasri. Don't worry, you'll get your blue star back. Just keep on doing what you do here. I had a blue star, too with a rating of 98/100. Then, in a matter of seconds, I dropped to a red 94/100.
I posted a discussion concerning my dropped rating because I was really confused why it happened. Then I thought maybe someone was giving me a negative rating.
But a friend who responded adviced me that there may be other reasons for the dropped rating. Maybe I have broken some rules that I wasn't aware of.
But after a few days, I got the blue star again. Then went down to a red star again for almost a week. Then I went up again to the blue star I have now.
Now, I'm more ready to see if I get a dropped rating again. But I'm sure that as long as we keep posting quality discussions and responses, we'll be having those blue stars again.

Just keep your enthusiasm with you because it will certainly help you here at MyLot. I have some friends who also had their ratings dropped and they still haven't gotten their blue stars back. But the thing is, they haven't changed what they have started doing here. They are still posting quality and sometimes witty discussions.
Just be ready for a roller-coaster effect in regards with the star ratings. One day, we have the blue stars, and then we're not sure if we still have it the next day.
As my friend have adviced me, as long as you're sure that you're doing a great job here at MyLot, you won't get stuck with the lowered rating. Because you'll be bouncing back up in no time at all.^_^
