How many hours do you spend on the computer one day?

hi, dear my friends, as the computers are more and more popular, do you consider computers as your necessary assistant? And, do you prefer to sit in front of the computer rather than do sports or other things. I have to spend almost 10 hours on it. Whether you ust it to work, study or entertain, remeber the follows: sit at least 20 inches away from the screen, and place it at or slightly below eye level. follow the 20/20/20 rule: every 20 minutes, focus on something at least 20 feet away for 20 seconds. post a reminder near your sreen that says BLINK! Research shows we blink far less often when staring at a computer, and that's a major contributor to eyestrain. Put a cacti near your screen.

Dude ur 20/20/20 tip is fantastic.....Blink is funny but good to follow and we can enjoy it tooo And coming to me I am using 15 hrs a day from past 2 years Recently I had a eye check up...thank God every thing is fine..But I know I has to take more care I know some of the haelth tips to follow for computer users 1.Strech once an hour..i.e donot sit in one posture for hours 2.Make sure you move your hands ,leg ,back , and neck every 10 minutes thru out the day.Get up and take short walks frm your workstation periodically 3.Hands, wrist and forearms are straigh, in-line and roughly parallel to the floor. 4.Feet are fully supported by floor or footrest,Thighs are supported well by padded seat 5.Place monitor at recommended distance 6.A mouse platform positoned over the keyboard. This design allows the mouse to be used above the 10-key pad etc....These are the things I know and I follow very little in then .From few days I am very serious bout following these things. So computer hugging guys plz follow some useful tips for ur health

I'm always on, because I have college courses online so I'm on for at least 3 hours a day for that. Plus if I'm doing homework for my other courses, that's another 2 to 3 hours..so maybe 6 or 7 hours a day.

he he .. I don't follow rules even i spend a lot of time on my computer. I guess i spend at least 8-9 hours everyday. This is the thing that I can't live without. Eyestrain is there & I'll try to follow "rules" that you have given. Thanks for reminding those harmful things. i guess I'll remember them ;p

I spent alomost all the time except sleeping and eating for work, playing and studying. Thanks chym1101 for the 20/20/20 rule. And I don't think this is a healthy life way. Maybe it is time to change, and I should spend more time to exercise outside.
