My fiance and I would love to have a beautiful wedding, but we have to pay for it ourselves and we don't have a lot of money. I have heard about getting your wedding sponsored, but I don't know how to do that. Does anyone know how to finance a wedding? I really don't want to start my marriage out with wedding debt. Also, ideas for lowering the cost of any aspect of the wedding ceremony or reception would be great! Thanks everyone =)

Also, i have found invites are much cheaper to make. We are using a photo of the 2 of us, with vellum paper over it, and the info about the wedding behind the picture then tying it all together. We also made our own save the date magnets.

I am getting married in June, and we have cut costs in so many places!! For starters, we're doing the food, invites, programs, bouquets, decorations, favors and some other things too. My mom has a friend who is bartending and one who is video taping it all, my best friends husband is doing our photography, my uncle is doing the DJ'ing, i borrowed my best friends veil (something borrowed). Another alternative my best friend used for hers was she got a cake for decoration then used a sheet cake for the slices that were cut for the guests, we're using a wedding cake then cupcakes for the kids; Look up things on Ebay, like the flower girl basket, garters, cake topper, ring pillow, disposable cameras, ect. I got all of those from Ebay!! Also.... not sure what you are doing for flowers, but i have made all of my bouquets for the wedding... my sister and I are looking into getting a small business online for wedding things like bouquets, favors, guestbooks, ect. So let me know what your colors are and maybe we can figure something out.
