divorce

what if you learn that your husband few months ago sat with his family and open up about your family fights and they advised to divorce you? Do you feel like betrayed considering you were not even invited to express yourself. Because I really feel that divorce is a personal matter. You decide on it yourself without outside influences. For me it is rather wrong to advise divorce or marriage. Two people who wished to divorce would do so without being told, no matter what. Same with marriage, there is no stopping two people from marrying one another if they wish so. Good if I did not knew about it, but since I learned of it.... I got this feeling i cannot take out of my system. I hated his family, including him. I do not want to know the details of their conversation. I feel there we are not family anymore.

I think I would feel hurt. I am not married but I know what it means to be betrayed and to feel disloyality. That would seem almost like gossipping because his family are going to take his side. There are always three sides to a story, his sisde, your side and the truth. Furthermore he is goign to come home acting out whatever he has been influenced with. He should seek a professional's help though

I know how you feel. I don't have proof of it but I have the feeling my husbands family have done the same thing. I don't know if its gone so far as divorce though. I've seen them do it with my husbands brother. I agree with you, if a couple is having problems then they should fix it within themselves or with the help of a professional. No one else should give an opinion because they only know one side of the story.
