Have you heard of an Impact Jacket?

I own a motorcycle and is in need of motorcycle safety gear. As of the meantime I am using a helmet and an ordinary jacket (for rain and sun) for protection. This Impact Jacket is great, however it is $395 at www.impactjackets.com. This is a way over my price range. I bought my motorcycle (2nd hand)for just P27,000 ($660. This is a great product though. I hope they drop the price so that everyone can afford it.. Thanks for the info...

That's great! and it's about time. I love to ride a bike but won't because there's nothing to protect our bodies in case of an accident. Yeah a helmet but what good does it do for the neck on down? Not a darn thing. So that's a wonderful thing to have for a biker to wear for one never knows what the future holds.

I think this is a terrific idea..I know several people in my family that has been killed or hurt on motorcycles..All my family is " harley "riders except for a few and i just worry about them all the time.If someone gets on a motorcycle i think it should be made a law for them to wear a helment and a impact Jacket...I did ride with my husband at one time but that was a long time ago,and my mother was always worried,so now im paid back because i worry all the time...Those things are dangerous the way they ride them.They get on those bikes and go to those ralleys and they are all drinking and i just cannot help but worry..I also think the 4 -wheelers are dangerous too,my ex huband just got killed 4 weeks ago on a 4 wheeler...and all my kids have one but they are older and i cannot tell them what to do...you know how that is.I just pray that God will watch over them in their stupidity..

It's bout dang time they come up with something to protect bikers other than just helmets. Now if the idiots would only wear them both, there would be less deaths with bikers. If I was to ever get a bike, be it a scooter, motorcycle, or atv I would buy a helmet the same day and one of these vests if they make them affordable and available here. My daughter owns 2 helmets..one for her bicycle and one for her go-cart and will make sure she has one on even if she's riding her bike in the driveway.

Hi estherlou! That is really a good thing to wear for all those who ride motorcycles. there are so many motorcycle accidents here in our country too and I think the helmet just protect them to some extent but wearing it with the jacket will give them bigger chances. Take care and have a nice day.

I had never heard of those before. They sound like a really good idea. Hopefully more motorcycle drivers will get them and start wearing them.
