I am sure some people won't like to hear this response, but I went to the Dollar Store & purchased the cheap sticky boards--it worked, but the mice don't die right away. I first tried the expensive sticky boards--those don't work--so don't waste your money on them.

The other thing about these is that the animal might chew it's own leg off to escape.

One house I bought was built in a big field. There never were homes there it was a cow pasture. Once I moved in we had mice everywhere. I ask a friend what to do and he said to use the sticky paper. He didn't tell me they just get stuck and are still alive. When I mentioned it to him, He told me to fold the stick card in half and step on it to kill the mice. The sticky card is cruel. Mice poison actually makes the Mice thirsty, but when they drink water the pellets expand and the mice blow up in your walls. I found the best way is to get a maze trap the Mice walk in to get food ,but they can not get out, It's a maze. Then you take them out to the country and let them go.The best method is to have a Cat!

The live catch traps work great! It is small and lays where the lid is open. You put peanutbutter at the back of the trap and the climb in to get it, the weight shifts and closes the trap. Very cheap! Only a couuple of bucks and reusable! Just be sure to drive at least a mile away from your house before releasing it.

WHere do you find these? Didn't know they existed. I went to Walmart and looked for something like this and only found an expensive solution. I would rather not kill mice... but because they didn't have something I could afford bought the cheap traps... haven't caught a thing yet.

There are some glue pads available in Seeds Stores. You can use them to trap. They are slightly expensive. On this glue pads, once two or three pieces are stuck, remove them with big tweezers and reuse it again. Ensure dust should not rest on this. There are also tablets (cakes) available. But there should not be any watersource nearby.

We bought some mousetraps, tried them with cheese & the mice wouldn´t go anywhere near it! Then my other half put a "cheesy ball" (type of Spanish breakfast cereal) on & we got one!!

Get a good cat. Even if the cat doesn't catch them, when it chases them it will scare the heck out of the mice and they will go somewhere safer.

Have to agree with everyone who said get a cat. I have recently adopted two cats one of the reasons was I had mice. I haven't seen evidence of the little critters since the cats came into the house. The mice can spell them and Move.

the best method I ever knew to catch mice was to get a cat (don't feed it) and set it loose in the house at night while youre sleeping (when you are in bed, the house is quiet..that makes mice come out)

WE HAVE HAD MICE AT OUR HOUSE WE ALWAYS USE TWO MICE TRAPS SET THEM SIDE BY SIDE PUT PEANUT BUTTER IN THEM NOT CHEESE MICE LIKE PEANUT BUTTER MORE, AND BY SITTING THE TRAPS NEXT TO EACH OTHER IF ONE DOESN'T GET THEM THE OTHER ONE WILL. ALWAYS WORKED FOR US.

The best cure for getting rid of mice is to get a cat. Not that that cat kills everyone, but the mice won't come around. We have 2 cats outside and one inside...but even just with the outside cats we didn't have any mice. Or any other rodent for that matter...and we live out in the woods.

I am in the same boat as you are. I don't like to kill mice so I can't use the poison. I don't want to use glue traps either because in that case the mice will die glued to the tray. I have bought a small squirrel cage from Orchard Supply and have caught 4 mice/mouse in 2 months. I caught one last night and she seems to be pregnent?

I have used ordinary mouse traps to catch mice and instead of putting cheese under the trap, I put peanut butter. It worked as I caught two mice a few years ago.

We used to live in a house with mice. My husband practiced his hunting skills on them. He would stalk them and shoot them with a high powered BB rifle. Not conventional, but effective and hilarious!

I could teach you how to make your one mousetrap. All you need is a thick-edged bowl, a nut, a toothpick and a piece of ham. You stick the toothpick inside the nut (there are 2 tiny holes in the nut, stick the toothpick in one of those) firmly enough for the mouse not to pull it. In the other end of the toothpick you stick the little piece of ham (also stucked firmly). Now, you put the nut-toothpick-ham system on the floor in the room with the mouse, over a piece of carton or plywood and you place the bowl upside-down with an edge placed on the nut. The toothpick wold obviously face the inside of the bowl. When the mouse will try to take the piece of ham, he will move the nut and the bowl will fal over the mouse, trapping it. It's a certified method, my mother used it a lot. Good luck!

I use reusable traps and peanut butter, on a good night I catch 1 in each trap (bad night for the mice, if they would only leave on thier own, I would not have to kill them)
