I'm starting to hate lady bugs...The last cpl of days I have been getting lady bugs in my house so bad I can't stand it! I have sprayed bug spray trying to kill them and nothing seems to work....I think there is a nest next to my house in a tree by one of my windows thats how they are getting in...And there is nothing I can do about this tree cause its my neighbors tree and property...Is there anything I can do to keep them out of my house?? What can I use to kill them?? If you have any ideas please let me know?

Aww! Don't kill ladybugs. They are nice, pretty bugs! :( hehe. Do you keep that window that the tree is by closed all the time? If not, that might help. And if your neighbor tree is over your yard and on your property aren't you allowed to cut that branch off? That's how it is in my area.

I agree Lily. That's one insect that doesn't bother me at all, whether I find one in my place , or find one landing or crawling on me. I find them colorful and pretty insects. (Red or green) Like most insects, I'm not scared of them. But I don't believe in killing them....I will safely remove or have them removed...but lady bugs (unless I'm totally infested) I would do my best to respect and tolerate them in my place whether they are on the walls or even let them crawl on me. Because they happen to be harmless pretty bugs.

Ladybug - A cute little lady bug.
Hello mystic_0318,I love lady bugs but I think in your situation, they are too many that they irritate you and make you feel uncomfortable. I am truly sorry as I don't have any slight ideas how to get rid of them. I hope other respondents will help you sort out the problem. Good luck!

Fly strips, Vacuum them, and catch them by hand in a old nylon sock or a plastic bag tie them into it and throw it away.. I prefer hand catching them oppose to vaccuming them as their smell has triggered asthma in me, I never had an allergy in my life, but it was my duty to always vacuum the lady bugs every 2 hrs so I did so for ten years.. Now I hand catch them.. The same thing used against lady bugs in the same stuff used against boxelders but the sprays not really effective all you can do is recaulk and reseal your house better.. but they can squeze right through the wood work so that does not help... The best is decorating with fly strips lol.. - DNatureofDTrain

Oh yeah and they eat dust mites, and aphids.. So just make sure that you keep your house free of dust it really helps.. alot with the lady bug battle. - DNatureofDTrain

They say to have a professional come and spray the foundation of your house and it should take care of the problem. I suck them up in my vacumn...I am sick of them too. they drop off the ceiling and into your soda or food.....they crawl on the cupboards. My sister also takes her broom and puts masking or duct tape and puts it so the stick side is out and just collects them on the tape..like old fashioned flypaper.
