Undoubtfully a consalation win for India.. The yesterdays.. Murali Karthik played a great role in that too.. But a real question mark comes on the top order players.. Murali Karthik played well with the bat and ball.. Well played Karthik.. What do you think went wrong with the top order players?? Zaheers 31 n harbhajan's 19 n marali karthik's 21 took india to victory.. Are they the ones who should play with the ball n bat?? What is happening to India after the T20 win? Are they over-confident?

well..its a suprise victory for India..when i was watching India at 65-6 i never thought about Indians or atleast they would reach 100 runs..but to my shock and suprise our Indian bowlers played a wise cricket and took India to this victory.. I feel 20 over cricket is very different from 50 overs..Our Indian players need to put more effort in fielding and batting..both are lagging..look at the Australian players..they are so determined and full of positive attitude towards the game which Indian players lack..

Indeed, everyone thought that India lost the match. Same was our case. We had a power failure too. And suddenly when power came, India looking pretty good to win. Indeed that was a plesant surprise.

Hi. Well a good win at the end. I loved the way both Zaheer and Karthik batted. Specially the batting of Zaheer was superb. He showed the mind set of a fighter and the confidence started getting to Karthik as well. It is good that the lower order is showing such an intent on winning, just hope to see the same from the more accomplished players.

Hi. Well a good and hard fought win in the end. I loved the way Zaheer and Karthik Batted. Specially Zaheer. The will to win was clearly there on his face. He really batted like a top order batsman(not like the Indian top order). I am happy to see that the lower order is so much intent on the field, just hope to see the same from more accomplished players.

This is the first time he shows his presence in the team. He took the entire match in his way, fabulous performance. Come on Karthik...., We need some match winners like you.

I was amazed about that fact seeing murali karthik taking so many wickets and lowering their total by a large amount. Definitely he deserved the man of the match award and as of what i saw in the game, karthik has improved so much as he tried different balls and different spins for every ball. And he did bat too. He somehow did not lose his wicket and he stayed there until india won which was a great job. What india needed at the moment was no loss of wickets and karthik completely supported it.

Well I dont believe. Indians are over confident as to be over confident one bneed to be confident. They were not even confident about the play in the series in many matches. But what they need is to learn out of this series. When any team play against a great team like Aussis they face such challenges.Aussis did this in past and they are continuing the good performance. What we need to learn from them is consistency. Our bowlers did a decent job in series but our batsman failed so they need to think about their style of plying again. Its not they are weak or dont know the game. its just lack of concentration and dedication. Hope I m clear.

The top order as usual was not able to face the heat of some quality pace bowling under lights. The tail and Uthappa were responsible for this win.The team is not overconfident or anything but they should perform to the best of their ability to come even close to Australian standards. The T20 format is completely different where quick 30 was enough and the conditions and grounds suited Indians and there was no pressure or expectation on Indians.

Sorry to interrupt you.. But actually its Kartik who led us to victory.. not Karthik.. lollzzzzz (kidding) Anyways... it was certainly a consolation match.. The Aussies almost outplayed us in each and every department except in the final overs of th Indian innings.. I do feel that the luck was in favour of India that day.. Otherwise who would have thought that India could even reach 100 after 6 wickets for just 65!!! But Uthappa played a solid knock, and Bhajji supported him amazingly well.. And then after Uthappa's dismissal, everyone thought that the last hope for India vanished.. But Zaheer and Kartik led India to victory... But to be very frank, our top order batsmen all were the victims of the pace and the swing.. The Aussies were bowling unplayable deliveries.. Almost any batsman would have thrown his wicket on such pitch.. The ball was swinging like hell, and no batsman in the world cricket could have handled those deadly deliveries.. But after the initial 20 to 22 overs, it was easier to bat on as the ball lost its shine and swing to a certain extent.. And it was nicely coming on to the bat... So Uthappa, Bhajji and Zaheer were able to play shots everywhere.. That was the major difference why our top order failed and our tail-enders were able to hang on.. Atlast i would only say that it was not poor batting by the Indians, but it was excellent bowling by the Aussies who managed to bowl such deadly deliveries..

Paul Collingwood - Paul Collingwood with the trophy after beating Srilanka 3-2 in ODIs....
India won the match only because of the Murali Kartik's heroics.. What a performance, 6 wickets for 27 against mighty Australians!!!! huuuh!! u can't ask for more.. I dunt remember any bowler having these figures against Australians since 1999. is there any??? if you mremove Kartik from the game and it would have been the humiliating defeat for Indians. Sorry but I have to say this... And I belive dropping Rahul Dravid was the poorest decision. See what Dinesh Karthik did?? He was out for duck as well :p I think one should learn from the Australians, they have given another chance to their middle order batsmen Hodge even he has been poor throughout the series. They are showing the confidence in him.. Dravid is 100 times better than the Hodge... Anyways congratulations to the Indians, it will boost them for the upcoming T-20. Good luck...

T-20 is altogether a new form of the game. Secondly many of this team were not the members of the T-20 team. The conditions in SA were different from that in India. All these indicate that there should not be a problem of being over-confident. More importantly, you are ignoring the role played by Robin Uthapa. He gave us some hopes and made valuable 47. He played a fighting knock and built a platform on which the later players could fight back. I believe that he is our future cricketer. He has got almost everything in his game.
