do you consider cussing as socially or morally acceptable?

i think not. i think that we should not use cuss or swear words because they are unbecoming. at the same time, they do not edify people, so why use them?but there are people whose language are dotted and peppered all over with cuss words...are you one of them? are you considering swearing off swearing from our vocabulary or do you think it is okay?

I think people who regularly swear don't even realize they're doing it anymore. I think it's a very lazy use of the language, and when you swear all the time, it tends to lose it's impact. I admit, I do swear occasionally, so, I'm not without fault. I don't like it when it's someone's every second word though.

i think you are right. when it is part of your language, i think cussing loses its credence. i believe that people like you who use it occasionally, you do so to express disdain and anger right? or frustration. is that right?

hi... i never like hearing people swear... makes me wanto to cover my ears and hide under the table...just kidding... well, jokes are half-meant. LOL...i am not comfortable with swearing and we can communicate well without peppering a sentence after another with cussing...

hi shiloh! but you know, i know someone who i thought was a real mature christian and i was disappointed to know that she doesn't think too badly about cussing. i felt bad because i was a new christian then and was convicted of my saying s**t at that time. anytime, i guess it depends on our conviction, no?

well, if it is really not intentional, then she would have said so. or she wouldn't have justify it. but she did. and i feel bad, especially as a new christian. it's rather frustrating, especially that i am also trying to straighten my words.

I rarely swear or use cuss words... although when i get frightened the word S*** would come out of my mouth automatically... i try to stop this cussing because i would and could offend the people around me... it is also not a good example for children to hear because they might use these cuss or swear words without knowing that it is bad...
