I was sitting here thinking what questions can i ask people because as normal my mind goes dead when i finally get the time to actually write a discussion, anyway as the subject says i was just curious to know if people prefer hot countries to travel or colder ones.

I would much rather go to a sunny beach than a cold mountain. Less clothes to pack, better tan, much more to do... C'mon, it's waaay better! haha.

Thanks for the comment tanjil, ive always gone to hotter countries for my holiday but i would prefer colder countries bacially because i burn like a lobster and i really would love to try sking. I love the way mountains look on tv and in pictures, i would love to see one close up its probably so beautiful and fresh up there.

sorry spelt your name wrong didnt mean to do that, you made a good point though about less clothes to pack when going to a holiday where you would be laying on the beach soaking up the sun. Like i said im more likely to be caught by a fisherman than getting a tan as i burn and turn red like a lobster.

Hi stevoo19, I've been living in hot country all my life and if I got the chance to travel, for sure I would like to have a change of climate and go somewhere colder. I would love to experience how it is feel to live in a winter condition, wearing thick gear while switching on the heater and things like that. Of course playing with snow is one of the highlights I'm looking forward to. This might sound boring to some but for people who never experiencing winter all their life like me, it is like a dream to achieve

Hi Ameyrp, I'm sure you will experience cold climate at some stage in your life, and you will feel the cold more than most so when you do i hope you do take allot of warm clothes. Ive always wanted to go skying or something like that but none of my friends like cold climate and want to go to sunny places all the time and lay on the beach which i dont like as i just burn up and feel uncomfortable. Thanks for your comment.

I prefer to travel to hot countries as I like to feel warm. I love to see scenery that is typical in tropical regions of the world like palm trees and coral reefs. I especially like to go to small islands. I had a delightful time of La Digue, an island in the Seychelles. I hired a bike and rode over hills to the other side of the island. I took a walking track and found some gorgeous yellow sand deserted beaches. Cold countries also have wonderful sights to enjoy but I prefer warmer climes. Norway has stunning mountains and Finland has beautiful lakes in forests. Mother Nature can be so very special. Cities like Budapest and Prague have some lovely architecture.

Since I live in a hot, humid country, I like going to colder ones. But I don't really like extremes. I do like beaches a lot, but I'm not into deserts. I can't tolerate really cold weather too because I shiver easily and I get cold allergies.

Growing up in the middle east and living in a tropical country, I fear my body can't tolerate cold weather. I'd prioritize hot countries over cold and snowy countries in my places-to-travel-to list.
