Hi and Hello to all mylot members. Even though I am a newbie here, but I am fortunate for having 'goodsign' as my referrer. She spent her time via email to guide me the practical way to be on mylot as an active member. So before I started this discussion I had three days training with all the link buttons on here and the operations. Thanks 'goodsign'. So my question here, as next year I will be facing a vital general examination that will indicate whether I am qualified for University application, in Malaysia general call SPM i.e. Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia or in English it known as MCE i.e. Malaysia Certificate of Education. Anybody here can sincerely give me fruitful tips for me to gain new easy methods of learning and making reference to my school's text books. An effective to score in all subjects. There 10 subjects for me including mathematics, biology, chemistry, physics,..., etc.. I need your help as October 2008 the exam will be held. So my one year period from now and I have to take it seriously. Any idea from members, I believe with your learning tips would help me to sit for that examination with wisdom. Thank you very much everybody for your contributions. **prettyhanan**

REgarding examinations: There are several category of students: Viz, 1. One who does not want to be told, because they have a good grasping and expressing capacity. 2. Some people need to read and reread and memorzie to write in exams. 3. Some people even after reading several times nothing gets into their head so they are poor performers. It is always better to study the subject matter on day to day basis and conduct review of it every day so that it is registered in your mind and you can answer those even if you are asked when you are fast asleep. Take a subject, find out what portions are covered for examination, study 2 to 3 years questionpapers, try to answer those. Then go through the book/notes. After studying make your own short one line remembreance note. By looking at that note, you should be able to tell or write 10 to 15 sentences. It is better to write in your own hand writing, 2 or 3 times, so thatit is registered in your mind. We are a family of 9 and my grand mother used to tell that night the students should sleep. Early morning sat 4 a.m.or 5 a.m. one should get up and study. One should not sit on the comfortable bed, because there is tendency to fall asleep. During exams time you should only revise and not study from the beginning and trying to understand.

Your english is prettyhann (pretty good). YOu will develop english very much. Also a friend of mine who came from a village, learning local language, stood first in the village school came to city. He was my class mate and within a year, he worked day and night, listening to BBC radio (at that time there was no TV), subscribed to the best newspaper, studied A to Z of it, kept a note book to make note of difficult words, searched the meaning, used those words in day to day usage and thus became an expert so much, he became all India nO. student debator, won many awards, invited by some great man from Isreal to be with him during the holidays, completed his course in Economics, joined cambridge university, became a lecturer, later went to Ford Foundation and became its Asia-Head, against joined United Nations and now working as a top man in UN agency called UNIDO. He attributes all these to learning interest in language. Can you draw some inspirtation to take you to great heights? Thanks for giving my response a BR. Good day and all the best in your endeavours.
