I'm currently in the middle of reading the book. I haven't seen the movie yet, and I refuse to watch it until after I've read the book. I like the book so much, that I don't want to spoil anything about it by watching the movie. I really love it so far, though. They've just started talking about the cryptix where I last left off.

I read only a book. But I think it's very good and interesting, full of mystery. I read this book with bated breath. It positive suprised me. Many interesting threads make this novel really great, that you can read absolutely at once. I recommend 'The da Vinci Code' everybody.

both the book and the movie is great. books can describe what films can't show, while films can save time. so i advise that one should read the book first ,watch the film then.

i did. The book is so much better and descriptive. The movie left out a lot of things and changed stuff. I did not like movie. I recommend this book to everyone and especially recommend the prequel, Angels & Demons. I made my friend read both of the books before the movie came out in theaters cos I knew if she didn't it would ruin the book and she thanked me for that.

I'm not much into reading books or novels but when I first heard of this controversial book I got myself a copy of it. It's a page-turner. I can't stop reading the book till the end...

It depends on the book. If I have a exceptionally long book I am reading than I don't go to see the movie because they would not be able to include everything the book had in it because it would make the movie to long. The movie people would have to cut parts that would be important to the movie. So I would choose most likely to read the book.

I am sorry I just noticed you had the name of the book you were asking about to the side of the discussion. Must be because I am still up and can't get to sleep and it is 5:20 in the morning. But I have read this particular book and don't believe the movie would be good after reading the book.

I saw the movie as well as read the book. But the book was much better. And also, because of the uproar of the christian community worldwide they had to censor or delete a lot of scenes which would have contradicted the christian faith. Due to the deletion of those scenes the movie looked a little lame and also the ending was not well not shot and explained. It's much better understood in the book.
