Has anyone here heard about the live action movie that's coming to one of the satellite channels the end of November? My husband and I are already making plans to get out the popcorn and make a night of it. The "Hogfather" movie is going to be a live action movie on the ION channel and the ads are saying the it will be shown on Nov. 25th. If you like Terry Pratchett's Discworld series then this should be good :)

A friend gave me a copy and I'm watching it right now. So far so good. I'm happy I get to watch this at last.

I'd like to see it too they haven't shown it on television here yet I'll probably end up having to buy the DVD or something. I hope it does the book justice it will disappointing if not as Terry Pratchett is brilliant, I question whether we really need films of his books really since they are so evocative.

I managed to see the movie, and it's pretty good. It was a four-hour miniseries in two parts, actually. Nobby looks downright dignified in comparison to how he's portrayed in the novels. I'm reading the book for the first time now, and it seems to be about exactly the same, although the book can say a lot more, of course.

It is very good esp Susan the actress is spot on. Definitely make a night of it, there are slight differences to the book tho, oh and look out for the man himself Terry Pratchet.

It was on British television last year, and this Easter "The Colour of Magic" is being shown. I'm looking forward to watching that and I'll re-read the book just before so that I can check the accuracy!
