I always do that whenever I go to toilet, bathrooms. I am always conscious about the contaminants that gets in my hands, so I make sure that I always wash my hands. I even use a hand sanitizer, which makes me think that I'm one of those "neat-freaks!" =)

I really don't like to go to the public bathroom, specially in some gass station, they can be really gross.I never sit, becuase even if I would caover the seat with paper it still gross to me.I always wash my hands at least two times and use elbow to shut the faucet or napkins. And the same for opening doors, or I would push it with my foot.Sometimes it sounds ridicilous, but we have to be carefull.

Hi, Those public toilets and bathrooms in our place are horrible. I just take some tissue papers if I have to use these toilets. If not a bottle of water from near by shops. If I see the public toilet is clean I would wast my hands otherwise I would just look for a better one if any near by.

yes I do wash my hands but when you think about it you still have germs on your hands because you touch the tabs to turn the water on and wash than you touch it to turn it off and pick up germs again. And even opening the door after you wash your hands. So after I get out of the toilet I wash my hands and wash my sons hands and get out and wipe them off with wipes.

Absolutely! I would never use any toilet (especially a public one) without washing my hands when done. Usually I keep one of those seat cover thingy's in my purse for 'just in case.' Lots of public toilets have a holder that dispenses them, but quite often they're empty...hence why I carry one in my purse lol. If the public rest room has a paper towel dispenser, I use one of those to shut off the water valves, I figure there's no sense recontaminating once I've washed my hands.

I always do, especially now with the staph bug that attacks and is resistant to your immune system, and has caused more yearly deaths than AID's. It's scary and I definitely wont mess around with my health

Hi peanutjar, Working in a food processing plant, has taught me the importance of getting rid of germs on my hands. Using the public toilet can be gross, and really freaks me out if I have to use them. I prefer to use the toilet and home. But if I am cought out in public and have to use it, I am extremely careful about it, and use hand sanitizer after I get out. It does make me feel more secure in my own safety. Happy posting..
