Is it important for you to receive replies form the person who started discussion to the comment that you have made? Or you never even check the discussions you posted the response to?

I wont say it is important to receive replies but I would be grateful there is a reply to my comment.

I always check the comments to my responses, read and rate them too..if i have anything to reply to those comments i type otherwise i just rate and proceed..i feel its important to reply to comments to make the discussion more lively and interesting to debate further..I have found some mylotters do debate much interestingly as they keep on posting comments, lot of sub comments..i just wonder at those and feel i too could debate in that manner but unfortunately i dont have much time to spend for mylot..

I have the comments come directly to my email box, so I always read the replies to my comments. I always try to reply to the comments made for my discussions too. This way they may reply back and then you really have a good discussion going.

People on my friend list are set to notify on and if they never ever reply to my discussions, I will delete them, because I view the discussions more or less as a conversation and you cannot have a conversation where only one person ever answers. I don't count every single reply, no, but if someone starts a lot of discussions and never comes around to reciprocate in the few I try to start, then they aren't very nice friends, are they?

I do check if I get a reply from the posts I make. Sometimes I just read what they put but others I will continue to add to the discussion. I do try to response to the people who posted in my discussions as much as I can too. Sometimes I may ask a question or others ask one of me. Or else I want to see how they responded to my post if I made a funny or something else.

I receive message in my email when someone reply to a comment I make. So I know like that and I always go read it what they reply back to me even if it,s only a thank you. But I know that somtimes when you receive too much response, you don,t have time to comment everyone even if you read everyone. So It,s ok for me if someone doesnt reply to me after I post a comment on their discussion

Not that it is important but it helps me get motivated that my comment about a particular topic has been recognized with a reply to it. Either it be coming from the one who initiated the discussion or other members in this site I often check the discussions that I have participated in and see if someone has already replied to the response I have given though, myLot now has that feature wherein you could choose if you want to be notified if response you have posted has been given a reply

If I don't get at least the first 'thanks for contributing' reply, I feel that the person was only interested in the quarter of a penny they got from my response, and not in what I had to say. That doesn't make me too excited to be their friend or to answer other posts they make. One answer is common courtesy to someone who took the time to share.

It's not important but if the original poster replies to my comment I think it is very nice of that person to do this. But if they don't I don't mind either.
