Ok here is a simple and easy guide to growing your fishing level in runescape if you are a free player. Level 1-20 First start by fishing at Draynor Village with a net to get shrimp to lvl 10. Than use a fishing rod and bait to get to level at the same spot to catch herring to level 20. Level 20-50ish Get a fly fishing rod and feathers and go to Lumbridge fish at the fishing spot there and catch the Trout and Salmon. Cook them and then drop them and repeat. Level 50-99 Go to Karamja island and fish lobster using a lobster pot, or fish swordfish using a harpoon to grow the rest. I suggest you bank your lobster and swordfish to sell them later
