I have a short scar on my knee that I got when I was around 12 years old and a very large one on my stomach from surgery 31 years ago. Other than those two I don't scar very easily and they are all I have...and they are enough as far as I'm concerned. Do you have any scars on your body? Are they from surgery or an accident?

I've never had one but my daughter has and from what I can tell the scars from them are getting a lot better than they were years ago.

Yes I sure do. In fact I have scars all over my body especially the upper half thanks to Lupus. Lupus is a lot like Aids except it's not contagious. My skin has broken out so many times that it's left scars. Also I have a scar on my stomach from three surgeries and two laproscopies. I've had surgery on my sinus' twice in which the second has helped a great deal. I've had surgeries on both of my big toes to get rid of ingrown toe nails. I have a scar on my right hand from putting my hand through a glass window because my boyfriend locked me in his bedroom and wouldn't let me out because I was so angry with him. lol Needless to say, when he heard the glass break, he opened the door then! LOL

Knocked me out cold! When I came to there was blood all over my face and gown. Had to go to the hospital and get 5 stitches. All he got was a knot on his head. LOL

It sounds like you need Stop lights in your hallways! lol....Years ago I knew a woman who had lupus and she also had a lot of scars. The last I heard she was still buying all of those over the counter scar concealers that never work...but if they make her feel better that's all that counts.

Let me tell you, we had walked around with our hands out in front of us for a few months after that colision and we'd say, "I'm coming around the corner!" lol We didn't want another repeat and even still, I'm very causious about walking out of a room anymore. LOL

I have scars all over, ctry. What makes it even worse is that I get those ugly thick scars called keloids. I have 4 noticeable ones from surgeries, but only 2 are visible most of the time. I still have a scar on my right hand between my thumb and index finger from a cut on a tin can when I was a kid. It has faded a lot with age though. The one I hate the most is on my ankle on the right foot where I had two surgeries following a fall in 1995. I was allergic to the metal pins and they had to go back in and remove them. Loving shoes the way I do, I really don't like the scar being there.

My mom had an accident resulting in metal pins being put in her ankle and she was very lucky that she wasn't allergic to them! They actually ended up taking them out because she had healed so well.

Hi and god morning. For about 20 years ago I had a big surgeries on my left leg. It left a big scar as a remainder. This scar reminds me every day, because it has a strange feeling there whenever I touch it. Thy did cut of the nerves in the leg and it has some side effects after that. However, The surgeries was necessary since I had pain on a daily bases. I also have scars on my tummy after had surgeries when my two kids was born.

It sounds like you were very lucky to come out of that with just a scar on your head. It could have been much worse.

I do have some scars from about 3 surgeries in the past three years and about to undergo another one in the next week. I usually don't scar very easily either and the ones that i have from my surgery aren't bad at all. you can barely see them unless you know they are there

Technology being the way it is you would think scars could be made almost invisible wouldn't you?

yeah you would think. I know they can do a laser procedure to reduce scars, but i've actually priced that once before and it would have ended up costing me 2500.00. That is insane and of course insurance doesn't cover you wanting to look better. LOL!

geez... yes i do have a scar. i got it when i had my CS operation. it was on my tummy so i cannot wear any swim suits of two piece, it should be one piece, heheheh... but anyway, i am happy i still have my tummy. it's just a scar anyway. and if i use an effective scar remover, then, surely it will go away and fade.

I have that many scars it's not true. LOL. I am a a pretty accident prone person in general and most of my scars are from little accidents. I have one scar from surgery on my left wrist to remove a ganglion, and many scars from being stitched up at the hospital.

SCars - Scars do not bother me. Mine is on my stomach.
I have a massive scar across my lower stomach. There were at least 100 stitches. This was mostly from a tummy tuck operation I had earlier this year. It was done on the same old scar I had from an emergency c-section from 14 years ago.

I have a scar above my right eyebrow from when I was 2 years old. I fell against the corner of the coffee table and it took 17 stitches. I also have a scar on my left knee from when I fell against a nail when I was 7. I have a scar on my back from a cyst being removed when I was in the 7th grade. Other than those, I don't really have anything else. All were from my childhood.

I also have a scar on my tummy with a vertical incission from two major surgeries: ruptured ovarian cyst and endometriosis....and since I am the keloid type, there is an ugly mound of skin on the incission itself...he, he, he. Could never wear bikini! (As if I ever wore one) Also have some scars on my legs...so you see those ugly scars never allow me to wear mini skirts when I was younger.

Hello! I got a scar on my right knee, got it when I was 10 yrs old..LOL!! my mother was calling me that afternoon, asking me to go to the cold store to buy something for lunch, since I don't want to, I ran away to hide...then I accidentally stepped on a big rock, fell on my knees and when I looked up I saw my mother standing in front of me with her 'you're in big trouble lil girl' face LOL!! Another scar I got is the one on my left cheek, just before my ear, it's a big straight scar. Got it when I was 8 yrs old, had an accident in our bathroom, I fell from standing on the toilet seat, hit the flush tank and then the floor. It was a big open wound, you could already see my jaw bone..eewww! but thank God the doc didn't stitch it. I'm just thankful that it's not really noticeable and it's not on my face. oohhh...don't ask if what the hell I was doing standing on the toilet seat..LOL!!! ciao! c",)

I have one on my right leg from rupturing my archilles tendon while playing sports, a few years ago. Its an obvious scar about 2-3 inches long and I doubt that it will fade. But not to worry, I can say that my archilles is a lot stronger than it was before.

I have so many scars I could never name them all. But here's a run down of a few. I have a scar on my finger from hot glue. you have to wait till it dries to pull it off and it pulls your skin off with it. I got that about 11 years ago. I have a few scars on my forehead, one that's in my eyebrow. I got this from a car accident I was in when I was 7. I had 18 stitches and a huge black eye. I have a scar on my wrist from the airbag from an accident I was in back in may. The airbag dust and chemicals is what burned me. I have a scar on my upper chest from a lighter that I dropped on myself when I was laying down on the floor. ha ha. and I have a scar in my chin from when I was about 2 and I fell on a filing cabinet drawer and busted my chin open. I got 3 stitches. that's just a few. I'm all sorts of scared...on the outside and in!

Having a scar is normal. Nothing to fret about. I had my surgery two years ago and the scar is really annoying.if you want to get rid of the scars there is corrective surgeries now. Thats alright..and its normal.
